A+ commentary, would agree again.
Blast, you saw that before I edited the tags.

Okay, I can relax now. I just about had a heart attack for a moment there. (I just really love Angua and Carrot)
I have issues with Angua and Carrot. I feel like Carrot deserves someone better, but I'm happy that he's happy with her. It just seems like she has so much unnecessary baggage and she keeps trying to leave him because "it'll be better this way." She's got a serious Martyr complex and she needs to stop.
I mean he needs a Queen and what he really has is a Knight and they just don't seem to fit together well.

Carrot… And vimes??? Do you mean in a shippy way??? O.o
Let me preface this by saying that I don't "ship" Carrot and Vimes; I have a feeling Carrot would be completely fine with Homosexuality but not when it involves himself (and does fucking your superior officer only count as insubordination if you're topping?).
I was reflecting on how much Felix is like Carrot (especially early books!Carrot before he becomes so much of a straight BAMF) and thought Calhoun was Angua before I realized that she's too Vimesy to be Angua and yeah.
My mind went there, stayed for two weeks, bought a timeshare, plans to retire there someday.

Boo! And Kronk!
I stared at this for a really long time trying to figure out why you were shouting Disney characters at me because I completely forgot I reblogged that thing five minutes after having done so. Okay. So. Anyway.Boo: A childhood hero.
My childhood was kind of an ignorant mash of late 90s pop-culture with 15 million misunderstandings about how the world worked added on top. So... probably some combination of Britney Spears, Baby Spice, and Ash Ketchum.
Kronk: What you are best at in the kitchen?
CLEANING IT.
As far as food goes, I think I'm probably best at improvising fairly easy meals. Once you learn how food works and if you have at least a few things in your kitchen, it's not too hard to go "uh... vegetables... pasta... sauce... okay there's a meal." It def helps that I'm vegetarian, so I don't have to bother with cooking meat. My improvised meals tend to have a certain sameness to them, but like, it's a better option than ramen or whatever, so yay.
therealwhiteprophet replied to your post: Does anybody else remember lanyards? Like those plastic string things you braided into larger plastic string things and then gave to your mom as a keychain?
Omg. We called those Scoobies! When I moved out of my parents place in february I found a ton of them in my room.
what was the reasoning behind "scoobies" for the name?

I think that the people he owed debts to weren’t good people - they traded in drugs, or were unscrupulous, wealthy, drunken lordlings who gambled etc. If he owed money to honest tailors or servants, I think he would have paid them
Later on he mentioned something like that - how he was amazed people like that actually acted like they'd earned the money fair and square. Not everyone he hung out with had to be unscrupulous.

Fool wasn’t himself at that point. He truly believed he was going to die and was acting crazy. I always put it down to him being scared and taking it out on everyone else. Fool is a great character, but not a perfect person. That’s why he’s so great.

The Fool at this point truly believing he was going to die, so I think he was scared and unsure of how to act. This resulted in him doing something he wouldn’t normally do.
The Fool's not perfect, indeed. (He likes brandy, for example.) But being a dick like that is disappointing. I still think he could've just made sure to gamble away just enough instead of creating debts. Wouldn't he feel better going towards his death like that, sure that everything is settled and no problems anywhere?

I always explained it to myself that the Fool wanted to destroy the charm of Lord Golden. Many people were infatuated with Lord Golden and the Fool wanted to show that he was just an asshole in spite of his looks, wit and wealth.
I like the idea he would do it to show people that people like him can be absolute assholes. It could also explain why he insisted on burning the Lord Golden persona, something I never quite got either.
