Death Note Fan Fiction
This is what the netflix death note adaptation should have been.
15 years have passed since Light Yagami became Kira, and killed the wicked, so he could become the god of this world. There are still many that worship him and pray for his return.
Ryuk, the shinigami, returns to the human realm to give someone new a death note. The humans are so interesting, and he is bored.
The new Light’s mother was a Kira cultist. She dies during child birth, with the hope and faith that he would become the next Kira. Light never knew his father. He develops the same feelings and hate and desire for Kiras world.
Once Light has the death note, and the power of Kira, he begins killing wicked men. Kira takes his rightful place at the head of the cult. No one ever sees his face. He asks one of the cultists to be a proving sacrifice. On a live stream Kira kills the cultist.
Ryuk laughs.
The person trying to catch Kira is the new L. He is calculating and logical, just like the original L. The one advantage this L has is he knows about the death note. The battle between the two continues again.
