Dude okay wild thing but like, we've been seeing our specialist for like 5+ years and almost exclusively working on the much much more recent and "simpler" sexual trauma cause it was an easier still-big trauma to process while figuring out system dynamics and all, so we've like BARELY even talked or addressed the *checks notes* almost two decades of physical abuse we lived with and that *checks notes* it was that pervasive
Until we went into therapy with our FIRST therapist today and we were catching up and he briefly asked about that and we had to almost double take cause we barely remember that and I'm like
Oh fuck right thats there
Huh
Posting this here cause I only now just pinpointed why I'm having mild whiplash in the DID brain sphere cause I am like yes I remember and know that was a thing, but I also ENTIRELY forgot that it was a *thing* what.
*scratches head* This guy knew our primary trauma holder part that is now a dormant subsystem. Damn fuck, thisll be an interesting Season 3 of Therapy with the Feathers.
