Polish has been regarded as the hardest European language! It beats out Italian, Finnish, and Greek. I was shocked to find out that Bulgarian is closer to Russian than Ukrainian and Ukrainian is closer to Polish! I love the way the Slavic branches work, really cool. I understand nothing when I hear Ukrainian or Polish or even Latvian
Yea, it's pretty complicated :) Maybe even litte weird but that's the beauty of languages :)
Hello! I just wanted to know how exactly far away is Polish from Russian. I know they use the Latin alphabet but I wanted to know if some words are the same since they are still in the Slavic family, ya know :3. So I just wanted to know if there are some, even tiny similarities.

And first of all, Poles use Latin alphabet. And Russians use Cyrillic one. And I guess... No? I'm not linguist but Ukrainian is more similar to Polish, than Russian. Sorry, Russian is not even close with sound - Polish is more hard language (comparing to Russian). Slovak and Ukrainian are more similar but Russian - no. To be honest, I don't really understand Russian, if I listen to it. There are some similarities but more differences.
Maybe some linguist can tell more?

I actually started learning Italian about two weeks ago! It's a pretty neat language.
