Have you ever noticed that ( ANTHONY STARK ) from the ( MARVEL ) looks a lot like ( ROBERT DOWNEY JR )? But ( HE ) also goes by ( IRON MAN ). Having the ability of ( GENIUS-LEVEL INTELLECT AND ROBOTIC SUIT OF ARMOR ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are (51) and is working as a (HEAD TECHNOLOGIST AT STARK INDUSTRIES & AVENGER). (ooc; nat, she/her, 26, est)
Tony Stark was born in May 29th, 1970 to Howard and Maria Stark (nee Carbonelli) with a silver spoon in his mouth and a screwdriver in hand. He was homeschooled until he was sent over to the Phillips Academy, a boarding school, when he was seven-years-old. He was always placed three years ahead of his classmates, not more only due to socialization issues. Despite expectations, he was a timid child who had trouble fitting in among his older, competitive classmates. Lonely and ever anxious for an ounce of his father’s positive attention, Tony didn’t experience true friendship until he met James Rhodes at MIT when he was fifteen years old.
Tragedy struck in December of 1991 when Tony’s parents died suddenly in a car accident. Tony was catapulted to the seat of CEO of Stark Industries, under the wings of his father’s long time business partner, Obadiah Stane, then CFO of Stark Industries.
Tony was always a wild card in the business world, be it for his brilliance or his very public displays of reckless hedonism. He cultivated a cold and arrogant image over the years, the upkeep of which was a personal priority until 2008, when he was kidnapped by insurgents in Afghanistan and held hostage for three months. He escaped by building a suit of armor under the guise of developing a weapon for his captors, and since then he has been perfecting this armor and using it to do good as he understands it. He shut down the weapons division of Stark Industries immediately upon his return from captivity and has since then focused on technological advancements and philanthropic efforts.
In 2010, Tony was invited to join Nick Fury’s Avengers Initiative, which he initially refused as he was dealing with a terminal health condition in secret at the time. He eventually joined Fury as a consultant for SHIELD, and it was in this capacity that he was summoned in 2012 to fight the alien threat that loomed over New York. The Avengers became a more solid team, as well as household name, after that battle, and Tony has been funding the group and developing technology for it ever since then. Two of the main Avengers hubs (Avengers Tower and the New Avengers Facility) were Stark properties that were remodeled for the team’s use.
His time with the Avengers wasn’t without its hitches, however. The threat faced in New York left Tony reeling in fear and paranoia, to the point where, in his efforts to protect the planet from cosmic threats, he ended up co-creating an A.I. unit that developed its own plans to destroy the world. Amid very justified calls for accountability from the public and dealing with tremendous guilt, Tony quickly submits to the Sokovia Accords, a piece of legislature that tore the Avengers asunder. Tony’s relationship with Steve Rogers was particularly compromised after what Tony considered personal betrayal (Steve not telling him about Bucky having killed his parents) compounded with the pressures of the Sokovia Accords.
After a brutal fight with Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, Tony isolated himself more than ever before. He might have succumbed to alcoholism had it not been for the constant presence and support of Pepper Potts. Tony owes his recovery -- or the bare starts of it anyway -- to her. He has presently been sober for three months and is looking to rejoin the world in patented Stark style.

Have you ever noticed that DANIEL SOUSA from the MARVEL UNIVERSE looks a lot like ENVER GJOKAJ? But HE also goes by AGENT SOUSA. Having the ability of EXPERT INVESTIGATOR, EXPERT MARTIAL ARTIST, EXPERT MARKSMAN sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are THIRTY-SIX and is working as a SHIELD AGENT.
ayyyy, it’s me... ya boi back at it again. this is probably v crappy but idc there will be spoilers for season 7 of AOS so read at your own risk
canonically there’s not much about his childhood other than he was born in idaho, grew up in brooklyn, and was a boy scout
he fought in wwii. he was a paratrooper in the war.
lost his leg after catching some shrapnel at the siege of bastogne
he was peggy carter’s partner in the ssr and later became the west coast security chief of shield
basically all of agent carter is canon for danny boy, but he never was w/ peggy
~~ season seven spoilers to follow ~~
while at area 51 he met the time travelling shield team
based on his timeline he was meant to die after delivering a package to howard stark, but mack and the team faked his death and brought him onto zephyr one
he definitely dives in head first when it comes to working w/ the team and adjusting to living in the future
while the team is trying to prevent the early launch of project insight in ‘76 daniel tells daisy that he’s thinking of leaving the team as things only seem to get worse the further forward in time he goes
after the pair get captured, and daisy is tortured, by nathaniel malick, who gives himself daisy’s powers. he promised daisy that they’d get out of there alive, we are going home agent johnson. you hear me? we’re going home.
after daisy gives him a piece of glass she managed to grab, daniel takes out the guards and carries a half dead daisy out and gets her back to the zephyr
he’s given the option to leave and stay in 1976, but he decides to stay totally not because of daisy
“i’m where i need to be.” sir, your simp is showing
while helping the team on their mission he starts taking care of daisy, you should be resting,
jemma makes him a new prosthetic leg, bye bye limp and cane. and bless whoever on that plane gave him that blue shirt cause hot damn
he doesn’t remember the events of the time loop but ya boi was busy
slept in a chair while daisy was in the healing pod, keeping an eye on her
died more than once to help daisy
helped fight enoch, more than once
failed miserably at trying to distract enoch
what time is lunch served on this vessel?
has a very lovely heart to heart w/ daisy where he confesses his feelings for her (probably happened more than once)
the kiss!!!!!!!!!
continued his trend of looking after daisy by taking her bag to a bunk for her
it’s not mentioned but it’s probably right across from where danny boy is sleeping
basically he’s all 😍🥰💖😊 anytime he looks at daisy and will help her with whatever she asks
boi maybe out of his time and trying to learn so much but he’s a good agent
instead of deke staying in the alternate timeline, sousa is the one that stays
he has a very emotional goodbye with daisy
another kiss
“promise me you’ll take care of yourself daisy. i wanted to be there to help pick you up but it’s not in the cards... so you all beat feet and save the future.” he smirked back at daisy “you really should consider the q on your utility belt, quake.”
he stayed in the alt timeline for a couple of years, working with what’s left of shield to rebuild. daniel reconnects with a now married peggy, telling her about his adventures with the team. she was instantly able to pick up on his feelings for daisy, sad that he had to say goodbye to her and a chance at happiness.
shield managed to recover a crashed chronicom ship, whose time drive was still intact. peggy, feeling bad for her friend, she ropes in howard to help find a way to get daniel to the other timeline. with a little help from hank pym they are able to piece together something for sousa to use to get over to the main ( our ) timeline.
Have you ever noticed that ( LEOPOLD FITZ ) from the ( MARVEL UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( IAIN DE CAESTECKER )? But ( HE ) also go/goes by ( FITZ ). Having the ability to/of ( ENGINEERING / GENIUS LEVEL INTELLECT ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are ( 33 ) and is working as a ( AGENT OF SHIELD ). (ooc; mikki, she/her, 23, central)
Fitz graduated from MIT at the age of sixteen with a PhD in mechanical engineering.
From there he did two years at SHIELD Academy of the Sciences, where he graduated second in his class (only to Jemma) and was the second youngest cadet to ever make it through the program.
For nine years afterwards, Fitz and Simmons worked together at Sci-Ops. Fitz was comfortable and happy in their lab. Unlike Jemma, he never had any dreams of going into the field and only went at her insistence when agent Coulson approached them nine years later.
This is where Fitz met Daisy Johnson (then named Skye) and Grant Ward, who quickly became his closest confidents other than Jemma. It’s what made Ward’s betrayal so hard for him and how he refused to believe it was real until Ward dumped him and Simmons in the ocean.
Fitz sacrificed himself so that Jemma, that woman he had professed to love,
Fitz suffered a brain injury that made him sustain major damage t his temporal lobe. He was in a coma for nine days. He had to relearn how to read, write, and speak. He had a tremor in hand. He worried he would never be the same.
He did slowly recover as best as he could. Under the direction of Coulson and with help from his new friends Hunter and Mack, Fitz was slowly about to get back to active work for SHIELD.
Fitz is supportive of Daisy learning about her powers, promising to protect her from the team, who was still very shocked by what had occurred. He told her that there was nothing wrong with being different.
He is also instrumental in the war against the inhumans, trapping Gordon so he cannot teleport.
Fitz’s persistence to get back Jemma is the reason they are able to go to Maveth and get her. He goes around the world looking for answers. He also makes it his goal to go back and get her boyfriend, Will Daniels, from Maveth. This leads to Fitzsimmons being kidnapped by HYDRA and Grant Ward in order to go there. Fitz watches as Coulson kills Ward, which allows HIVE to take over his body.
He tracks down Holden Radcliffe, who they believe will be the key to curing the inhumans of HIVE, and nearly gets his help before Daisy Johnson attacks him and takes the scientist for himself. This is where Simmons comes face to face with HIVE, who has the memories of Grant Ward and Will, her dead boyfriend.
I am slowly working on getting this canon to the end of season seven with all of fitz major events, but I wanted to post this now so you could see what he has been up to in the present of the rp.
PRESENT:
Fitz has taken time off of his work with SHIELD to raise his daughter. He consults and works from home in the lab when he can, but his primary focus is being able to finally live the life he’s wanted.
He’s still very close with the team, though sometimes he feels like there are blocks because of things that happened when he was still not him.
Have you ever noticed that ( CINDY MOON ) from the ( MARVEL ) looks a lot like ( MOON GA-YOUNG )? But ( SHE ) also go/goes by ( SILK ). Having the ability to/of ( SPIDER PHYSIOLOGY, SILK-SENSE & EIDETIC MEMORY ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are ( 21 ) and is working as a ( FREELANCE JOURNALIST )
╾┈✱ *:・゚✧ past
Cindy Moon was born a very gifted child to strict parents, who had an eidetic memory so her studies came naturally to her. She found academics to be of no use to her and instead chose to dedicate her time to playing on the school hockey team with her secret boyfriend. When her mother came to find out about her antics she was forced to go on a school field trip that she would never forget.
Whilst on the school field trip, Cindy was bit by a radioactive spider which little did she know at the time, gave her powers. After a long boring day of walking around science exhibitions that she had already memorised Cindy was able to go home to her parents. It wasn’t until a few days later during an argument with her parents, did she actually know what happened that day.
The action of webbing up her parents was the final straw for the Moon’s as they handed Cindy over to a man she had never met. This man appeared harsh and cruel by having her train day after day to use her new found powers. However, he was in reality protecting her as there was a greater threat trying to track Cindy down.
For her own protection she was locked away in a room with only food, books and tapes. Despite the incredible boredom, Cindy never once debated leaving the room as she knew the concequences.
╾┈✱ *:・゚✧ present
Cindy is now working as a freelance journalist after interning at a television news channel.
She spends her nights as the vigilante named Silk.
Due to being locked up for years she has a phobia of confined spaces and prefers to be outside.
She has not seen her family since the day she was taken away therefore she is searching to find them.
Have you ever noticed that ( GRANT WARD ) from the ( MARVEL UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( BRETT DALTON )? But ( HE ) also go/goes by ( AGENT WARD ). Having the ability to/of ( ADVANCED HAND TO HAND COMBAT SKILLS & EXPERT ESPIONAGE SCORES ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are ( 35 ) and is working as a ( SHIELD / HYDRA AGENT ).
imma keep this brief because erik’s 12 paragraph essay aged me.
my grant ward is being pulled from an earlier point in this same timeline. season one era ward, before the big reveal that he’s actually hydra. he’s still under garrett’s thumb, still assimilating with the team, and keeping his secrets from the people closest to him. the last thing he remembers is killing victoria hand and then going to the fridge ( from episode 1.18 ). either at the fridge, or directly after, he encountered one of the monoliths. imagine his surprise when he accidentally activated it and woke up here in 2020.
he has no idea that he’s dead in 2020, or that hydra’s been exposed at every level, so he’s in for a rude awakening. for a guy who’s always prided himself in being 2-4 moves ahead of everyone else, he’s going to hate playing catch up.
now a little bit about his background !!
ward is a canon character so additional details can be found here. the TLDR is that he came from an extremely abusive and neglectful family and it shaped who he’d become as a person. at some point he gets sent to military academy and then goes AWOL, goes home, and burns the house down with his younger brother inside. he didn’t know, but it lands him in juvenile detention where he’s eventually found by john garrett. he exploited the fact that ward was desperate — his parents were pushing for the maximum sentence, meaning his life would be over before it even began — and dangled his offer to join a secret organization like a carrot. he accepted, but did he really have a choice?
the next five years shape him into the person he is now. extremely brutal, difficult, tests leave him cold and hardened into the cold-blooded killer — the weapon — garrett’s been twisting him to be. by the time garrett reveals that he’s loyal to hydra, ward’s already so deep in with him that he joins without hesitation. his loyalties however lie with garrett more so than hydra. yet as much as garrett wanted to strip him of his emotional attachments, not being able to kill his loyal dog buddy showed some weakness. this weakness would be a recurring theme in his life, albeit one he tried very hard to stamp out.
ward was an exceptional agent for shield. he had some of the highest espionage rankings since romanoff and was skilled in hand-to-hand combat skills and had a keen eye for sniping. though he worked alone for the longest time, he was recruited by maria hill for coulson’s team after the man was brought back from the dead. he worked close with them, even started to care for them, but in the end he would always be loyal to garrett. the biggest setback were his feelings for skye, how he’d genuinely started to care for her, and while some of it was rooted in obsession — in thinking he’d found someone like himself — it’s going to be very difficult to reconcile his feelings for his skye with daisy as she is now. and i oop.
anyways yeah that’s ward in a nutshell. idk if he’s going to stick with hydra knowing, as he would now, that they’re a mess and exposed — and that garrett’s dead — but i imagine when he finds out coulson killed him he’s not exactly going to be thrilled.

Have you ever noticed that ( ERIK LEHNSHERR ) from the ( MARVEL UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( MICHAEL FASSBENDER )? But ( HE ) also go/goes by ( MAGNETO ). Having the ability of ( MAGNETISM MANIPULATION & UNWAVERING LOYALTY TO HIS CAUSE ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are ( 44 ) and is working as a ( LEADER OF THE BROTHERHOOD OF MUTANTS )
hey there, hi there, ho there !! i’m c, and i’m bringing my babies erik lehnsherr && grant ward to you about 400 years later. life snatched me but here i am finally. i’m terrible at remembering to respond to tumblr messages so if you’d like to plot, you can hit me up @ serial killer of kisses#0440
𝖜𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊'𝖘 𝖍𝖊 𝖋𝖗𝖔𝖒?
timeline wise, erik is pulled somewhere post days of future past and early into apocalypse. given that the x-men were constantly fucking up their timelines and futures, he’s from an alternate timeline. which one? good question. we’ll pretend we know and just smile and nod. either way, this isn’t his timeline and it definitely isn’t the world / year he left behind so he’s going to be culture-shocked by 2020.
the last thing he really remembers is his daughter’s death and apocalypse strengthening his powers to become a horseman. so suffice to say, he’s simmering with rage and is very broken. he still hates humans, maybe more-so than ever before, and he thinks they’ll always be a plague — never see them as equals — and their extinction is the only way to ensure their kind survives. he’s an extremist and his methods are questionable as hell but he’s not entirely wrong.
this quote, in my opinion, sums up erik to a t:
“ that you're wrong. you think you're right. and that makes you dangerous."
𝖇𝖆𝖈𝖐𝖌𝖗𝖔𝖚𝖓𝖉
erik lehnsherr, also known as magneto, is a canon character from the x-men. my version of him follows the x-men first class timeline. you can read more about him here on the wiki but i’ll give you a brief overview.
he was born in dusseldorf, germany, into a middle-class jewish family. his father was a decorated WWI veteran but that wasn’t enough to save them from the struggles of discrimination when the nazi’s started rising to power. the family moved to poland shortly after he was born but were separated at the auschwitz concentration camps when he was fourteen. erik’s powers first manifested when he ran towards one of the gates — trying to get to it before they closed as he was forced to watch his parents get ripped away from him. the metal warped and twisted as the soldiers grabbed him, reports of which were made to dr. schmidt. instead of being sent out with the other children, erik was taken to the medical wing. his powers were exploited and often used against him, dr. schmidt focusing in on his anger and using it to control his powers. ( his mother died because he couldn’t move a simple coin with his abilities. in grief, fury washing over him, he destroyed everything in the room and murdered all of the guards. ) he was experimented on for years, schmidt weaponizing his anger, and when he was finally free he spent years trying to track down the man responsible for his pain and suffering.
by the time he finds shaw, his intentions are clear. he’ll kill him by any means necessary, even if it means his own death. it’s charles xavier that saves him from drowning in his efforts to sink shaw’s submarine, the professor dragging him up out of the water. though erik never really trusted the CIA, he agreed to help charles with some of the other mutants they’d found — to help them hone their abilities, and give them a place they belonged. he grew to care about charles and these other mutants, respected them even, but his ambitions always came first. he also feared that a mutant holocaust was an inevitability and his fear kept him from truly trusting others. finally, when he confronted shaw, who shared a vision of a world led by mutants, he found he agreed — but he couldn’t allow the man to live. he murdered him slowly, much to charles’ horror. with the soviet union and the united states teaming up against mutants, erik was prepared to kill them all. so much for preventing the cuban missile crisis. as charles and erik were fighting, rolling around on the ground as both tried to get the upper hand, a CIA agent shot at erik and he deflected one of the bullets. a stray bullet ricocheted and hit charles’ spine, paralyzing him. unable to comprehend the pain he’d caused someone he loved — and knowing their interests no longer aligned — erik and several of the other mutants left to start the first incarnation of the brotherhood of mutants. a family was divided like after a messy divorce.
from there, we don’t know a lot about what happened with erik until days of future past picks back up. we know he was arrested and detained in the pentagon by 1973. he allegedly curved a bullet that killed JFK. they break him out of prison to help try and save the world and inadvertently meet his timeline’s version of pietro ‘peter’ maximoff. he’s erik’s son, but he never discovers this information. to this day, he doesn’t know the truth. in truth, erik had been trying to save JFK — who was a mutant — but unfortunately he wasn’t able to. trask, who created the mutant detecting machines in the future, had been killing off mutants one by one. many of their former students, people they cared about, had died as a result of it. tortured, too. so suffice to say, both erik and charles thought the other had abandoned them / failed them and it was messy. he agrees to try and help them stop the future from happening, in the interest of saving more mutant lives, but does try to kill mystique when their plans start going awry. he fails and earns more distrust both from charles and the nation. yes, he went all evil villain and did a monologue on live tv. he’s that bitch. he fully intends on killing trask but mystique, who changes her mind thanks to charles’ influence, shoots him. it grazes his neck, just enough to garner his attention, but it’s enough to give her the opportunity to knock the helmet from his head. in the end, after his abilities are used by charles to free himself, he flees. ya yeet.
at some point after this, he moves to poland and decides to live among the humans. he meets a woman named magda when he’s living as henryk gurzsky and they have a daughter named nina. he’s seemingly happy with his little family, working at the factory, until an act of kindness turns the tides against him. he uses his abilities to save a co-worker and someone reports him. police show up without any metal to confront him outside their house. nina, terrified and young much like erik was when his powers manifested, had the power to control nature and had birds attack the police. one of the officers was trying to shoot the birds and an arrow struck nina and her mother magda instead. erik, in his grief, used the metal locket around his daughter’s neck to kill every single police officer in the clearing and then dropped to his knees to mourn the loss of his family.
en sabah nur, aka apocalypse, finds erik shortly after this. he’s at the factory, about to murder all of the workers who allowed this tragedy to happen, when en sabah nur takes his revenge for him. the god then takes him to auschwitz and strengthens his mutant abilities to give him the power needed to destroy it. he agrees to be a horseman, to join en sabah nur in bringing about the apocalypse. shortly after this happens, he goes to sleep and wakes up in this timeline in 2020. he doesn’t know who’s done it, or it was something the x-men did to try and stop the apocalypse, but he’s livid and probably wants to go home. there’s nothing here for him — no revenge, no purpose, so if he can’t ... catch him starting up the brotherhood again and waging war on humankind again.
𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖘𝖔𝖓𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖞
erik carries a lot of anger around with him. it’s the trauma, the grief, and the after-effects of years of abuse. he knows best how to function when he’s angry, feels it gives him direction, and thinks that happiness leads to vulnerability. he thinks now that if he cares for someone, let’s them get close, there’s a possibility he will hurt them or they will get hurt because of them. his abilities work best when he’s angry, almost like he’s been conditioned that way, so he finds he’s most effective when he gives into the anger.
at the end of the day, his hatred is directly linked to fear. he fears that mutants will be persecuted for being different, for not living up to what humans feel is normal, and that they’ll be experimented on or killed if discovered. he’s seen firsthand what a genocide looks like and because of that fears that another will happen if they’re not carefull. again, he’s not wrong.
𝖆𝖇𝖎𝖑𝖙𝖎𝖊𝖘
he’s a class 4 mutant who can generate and manipulate magnetic fields. you can read more about his abilities on the wiki here but i’ll give you some examples.
magnetogenesis: the ability to create magnetic fields.
magnetokinesis: the ability to control magnetic fields.
ferrokinesis: the ability to control metal. ( thanks to apocalypse, he can now control metals found in the earth. )
Have you ever noticed that ( JAMES BUCHANAN “ BUCKY ” BARNES ) from the ( MARVEL UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( SEBASTIAN STAN )? But ( HE ) also go/goes by ( THE WINTER SOLDIER ). Having the ability to/of ( SUPERHUMANLY ENHANCED STRENGTH, SPEED, REFLEXES, HEALING, STAMINA, AND AGILITY, A CYBERNETIC ENHANCED LEFT ARM, AND EXPERT ESPIONAGE/MARKSMAN/TACTICAL SKILLS. ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are ( 105/30 ) and is working as ( PART TIME AVENGER / SHIELD AGENT ).
i always say i’m not going to write a lot and then write 12 paragraphs, so i’m not even going to try and shorten this. it’s going to be long. i’m so sorry.
james buchanan barnes was born in 1917. he was a good student and fairly athletic, though his school record probably wasn’t great. when he befriended steve rogers as children, beating up bullies that tried to mess with him became a pastime. steve was a scrapper, always ‘had ‘em on the ropes’ but james — better known to friends and family as bucky — was the kind of person who couldn’t sit back and watch the people he loved hurt. they were inseparable and the majority of bucky’s happy memories all include steve. the unhappy ones too probably, considering steve’s health wasn’t great when they were young and he probably worried about him 24/7.
he was idealistic when he enlisted and was assigned to the 107th in 1943. he was young, all smiles and charm, and really believed in the cause. or believed that he believed, which rounds out the same in the end. he was a waterweight champion prior to enlisting and was given sniper training shortly after he got his papers. from there, everything went from sort of good to bad. his regiment were kidnapped by hydra and he was experimented on by a scientist named zola. they injected him with a walmart brand supersoldier serum, trying to replicate the success that they had with captain america, but his regiment was rescued and he vowed to fight against hydra by steve’s side.
on a mission, fighting alongside steve — newly super serum’d up and way buffer than he remembered — he was blasted from a train car. he was clinging to the railing that gave way moments before steve could grab his hand. he was assumed dead as he fell a significant drop. the serum is probably what saved him and gave hydra the perfect opportunity to grab him. he was experimented on extensively and technologically upgraded with a cybernetic arm to make him even more deadly. hydra brainwashed him, implanted code words and conditioning with triggers, so they could control him and make him the perfect weapon.
in his past, in and out of cryo, he trained natasha romanoff in the red room. there were a number of super soliders, other projects that were deemed failures or too unstable to function, but the black widows were the soviet’s baby so to speak. up until recently, he didn’t remember anything about his time in the red room. or the time he shot a mark through natasha. awko.
over the next 70 years, they’d pull him in and out of cryofreeze, wiping his memory between missions, to have complete a series of prolific assassinations and missions. he became a ghost story, referred to in whispers in the intelligence community as the winter solider, and was known to be extremely deadly.
bucky continued to operate as an hydra asset until the fall of hydra within s.h.i.e.l.d. in 2013. his programming was starting to fail, triggers from his former life waking up parts of him that he’d thought were long gone, and he was starting to remember things. the man on the bridge. i remember him. he pulls steve out of the river after the helicarrier crashes, visits the exhibit at the smithsonian, and then disappears. it takes years for him to sort through his memories, writing things down frantically in notebooks as quickly as they appear in case they disappear again. on top of the horrific memories of the things he’s done, the people he’s hurt, he has blanks and gaps that he doesn’t know how to quantify. so he hides, he stays off shield and the governments radar, and he tries to figure out who and what he is. that is, until his picture’s on the news, steve’s crashing back into his life, and there’s another fight to be fought. except this time, it’s over him. and he’s not sure he deserves it.
this is getting really sad so i’m moving on. anyways. after the events of civil war, when nemo used his conditioning to turn him against the people he cared about, he knew he was a liability. until they could fix him, figure out a way to condition his brain back to normal, he went into cryofreeze again in wakanda. a year, maybe a little more, and he’s out. he has a new arm, which he refuses to wear initially, and his mind’s clearer than it’s been in years. the memories still come and go, the journaling never stops, but at least now he has a clear picture of what’s real and what was implanted by hydra. he knows, in an abstract way, who he is again. what he is, however, is up for debate.
anyways yes he’s been in wakanda for probably close to two years trying to heal, figure out what comes next, and just take a breather. everyone he knew before is dead, the people he cared about he hurt, and there’s so much blood on his hands he practically drowns in it. ( do i think he stayed out in a hut because his nightmares prompted violent shouts sometimes and he was embarrassed? yes. does he still have them? sometimes. ) when the accords were overturned, registration abandoned, he negotiated with the government and with shield so he could come home. he’s not all that sure it’s what he wants, or even what he deserves, but even if others might disagree he has a list of crimes a mile long and he needs to make it right. if they decide that means working for shield instead of sitting in a jail cell somewhere, he’ll sign on the dotted line. he knows nothing in life comes free. not even freedom.
anyways yeah bucky is sad, lowkey hates himself sometimes, wants to protect the people he cares about, and has a soft spot for anyone in a similar position to his own. there’s trauma but there’s also sarcasm, repression, and resilience. i love one (1) man.
Have you ever noticed that ( DINAH LANCE ) from the ( DC UNIVERSE ) looks a lot like ( JURNEE SMOLLETT-BELL )? But ( SHE ) also goes by ( BLACK CANARY ). Having the ability of ( CANARY CRY, MASTER MARTIAL ARTIST ) sure makes them a force to be reckoned with. Rumour has it they are ( 33 ) and is working as a ( SINGER ).
So I am going to try and keep this short and sweet because I can write about Dinah for daysssss! Please plot with me I love to come up with new canon and stories. Please be warned there is a tw for murder, cancer, and death in this. No spoiler alerts as I have not written about the movie just in case someone plans to see it but hasn’t yet.
Dinah Laurel Lance was born into a family of crime fighters. Her father, Larry Lance, was a detective in Gotham while her mother, Dinah Drake Lance, was a vigilante called the Black Canary. Not only that but Dinah was raised by her mother’s old teammates, sharing a close relationship with them and treating them like family. Because of this, she was in constant awe of her mother’s heroic past and that of her teammates who were members of the Justice Society of America. However, her mother was against Dinah getting involved in the hard and violent world of vigilantism that had worn her down. Dinah Sr. thought the world was getting more violent and amoral every year and did not want her daughter to get herself killed, trying to be a hero.
On the other hand, Dinah resented her mother for never being home and never being there for the special events in her life. Though she admired her mother’s heroic activity, she didn’t like the time away from her and it often caused conflict between mother and daughter. So much so they often had verbal arguments over it. However, her father had eventually retired early and passed away from cancer.
A profound moment was when her mother’s vigilante activity, what was supposed to be the last mission, ended up with her mother being killed. This jaded Dinah and her view of heroes and the police. Ending up in the foster care system, Dinah decided she would rather live on the streets and was eventually picked up by Ted Grant who became her guardian and also began training her to fight and fend for herself in his dojo and helping her train her metahuman powers
The events of BoP are canon as she found steady work as a singer in the Black Mask club. I won’t put too many details in case it spoils it for anyone who has yet to see it. Long story short, after the events of the movie Dinah decides to embrace her mother’s legacy and make it her own as the Black Canary.
Dinah now works as a freelance singer to make her money and if gigs are dry, she will often enter herself in cage matches and perform brutal fights for her money. As Black Canary, she has become close with vigilantes from Star City, becoming well known there as well as Gotham City.
Black Canary is noted as a dangerous mixed martial artist with enough skill to give Batman a run for his money and combat some of the world’s deadliest fighters. She also possesses a metagene that gives her the Canary Cry; the ability to produce ultrasonic frequencies. Dinah can produce enough concussive force to take out groups of enemies and even cause tremors to bring down a building. Even at its lowest level, her cry can shatter lights and glass in a room.
