"I hope you were serious,” Alaric said, standing awkwardly by the door. “New Orleans gives me the heebie jeebies. Need a friendly face, that’s for sure.”

The messenger bag slung over his shoulder clinked loudly. If Alaric’s own metabolism was anything to go by, Original vampires needed to buy in bulk.

“Elijah.” Bonnie appeared behind him and the witch the had taken him into her prison world. The ascendant from this world in her denim jacket pocket. Her thumbs in her jean pockets. Olive green eyes holding to him before flitting briefly to the witch. Mildly amused when said witch shrunk back. “You here to make a promise to me and back out like a little bitch at the last conceivable second? Or did you grow a pair in my absence?” 

She woke with a gasp, choking on the thick taste of blood still in her throat. She wiped at her face, but there was no cleaning the horror show smeared across her skin. Shaking, terrified, more alone than she had ever been- there had been the hope of bringing the girls back before, of getting Monique out, for her sister, for Jane Anne- and still hurting.

She couldn’t go to the witches. They would kill her. She couldn’t go to Marcel. Or the wolves. There was no one.

Except.

The one person in New Orleans who might make a deal with her. She’d heard the whispers on the other side as she flirted with death. She knew what the ancestors wanted. What Celeste wanted. She knew everything.

The drive there, getting to him, she couldn’t even remember it once she was out of the car and stumbling towards the entrance. She was grateful for the late hour

“Elijah!” she called. “Elijah!”

Yeah I definitely love Gilijah more but I was so down for Sophie/Elijah after their first scene. (and yes that is my not so subtle hint — plus I am always down to see minor/past characters represented on tumblr)

Less a matter of whether or not I’m gonna try to seduce Elijah and more a question of when.      Think he’d be suspicious if I invited him around for chess?
