Honestly, this whole ordeal is giving me so much empathy for the people in other countries who had to wait for the series to come to them, and were basically incapable of avoiding spoilers.

Best part of the first ep??
THE SONGS. I mean, I love the character development we got with this (Iād love to see anyone come up with that nonsense that Cass hatesĀ Eugene, now) but we got the duets we wanted. We got Eugene singing, we got CassandraĀ singing.Ā
The new opening is lovely. The animation actually feels more fluid and entrancing to watch which I didnāt think POSSIBLE. I actually was in tears at one point of the episode and my roommate was VERY concerned about me. I could scream about this premiere. It was everything we could have asked for and more, @cnotes and crew DELIVERED. I donāt know how the rest of the season is going to live up to this and Iām excited to see!
But hands down, the new songs. Oh god, the new songs.

Oh, I have to pick a single one? Then Iām gonna go withĀ āRapunzel and the Great Tree,ā because itās not only a double episode, but guaranteed plot! And songs!

Every moment Lance was on the screen? God, itās a toss up, really. Lanceās āI was the bushā scene was so hysterical and beautiful, did you see him kick that leg up? Or his overdramatic robbery; Lance you were a thief for almost all of your life, are you quoting the Flynnigan Rider books because we knowĀ thatās not how you talked??Ā
Also I super loved Tom Caulfieldās art in the flashbacks, those lines were so strong and graphic! Also this was Annaās first credit as a storyboard artist/Tangled board credit, ever?? According to Kait! And she did the super cute Rapunzel hair hammock idea, which was also an insta-fave moment!
