(Dominique “Rem’mie” Fells, Brayla Stone, Queasha D Hardy, to list a few.) —— W(h/a)cking is a dance style developed in the 1970s club scene of Los Angelos by the oppressed LGBQT+ people of colour. (Black, Latino, Philipino, many other ethnicities.) This style was originally known as Punking, ‘Punk’ was a derogatory term for a homosexual man. It was then reclaimed as the name of the dance style and is also a major element.
