Film przedstawia wędrówkę jego autorki po przestrzeni plaży Blue Lagoon Beach na Bali w Indonezji oraz w Tropical Islands - sztucznej wyspy, utworzonej na terenie Niemiec, w miejscowości Kraunick. Muzyka towarzysząca tej wędrówce to dźwięki systemu operacyjnego Microsoft Windows. Film jest opowieścią o starciu natury i kultury, poznania empirycznego i racjonalistycznego, o przesuwającej się granicy terytorium naszego życia ze świata „namacalnego” do przestrzeni wirtualnej.
Inspiracją do jego realizacji były teksty Jeana Baudrillarda i jego teza dotycząca funkcji parków rozrywki , które poprzez pozór czystej symulacji miały skrywać fakt „nieistnienia rzeczywistości”.
The film follows my journey through the space of Blue Lagoon Beach in Bali, Indonesia and through a space created to look like it: Tropical Island - an artificial island theme park in Kraunick, Germany. The music accompanying this journey consists of sounds from the Microsoft Windows Operating System. The film is a story about the meeting of nature and culture, empirical and rational ways of learning and about the moving border beetween our real, material life into virtual space. My inspiration was mostly the texts of Jean Baudrillard and his thesis regarding theme parks and amusement parks, which, through simulation are hiding the fact of "non-existing reality".
