In season 6 episode 2, Emori tells John to "stay in your lane." This phrase originated from car lanes, which no longer exist by the show's beginning. We know that Clarke doesn't know about making a wish on a shooting star (s1 idr episode) and John doesn't know "penny for your thoughts" or what a penny is (s6 idr the episode). The show is weirdly pretty intentional/careful about what information its characters have.
Do we think this is an inconsistency or just assume the phrase outlived its meaning/origin?
