Theme Troubles? Hereâs A Fix
So I have gotten a few messages regarding my themes not working properly on some blogs, mainly newer blogs, and I have discovered this myself as well on a few of my new side blogs when I would try to use one of my themes and weird stuff would start happening such as:
Infinite scroll not working
Weird gaps between posts when not all posts are the same size.
Widgets and extra plug-ins such as music players not showing up.
For the longest time I thought this was something within my themes, but as it turns out, itâs actually caused by a new Tumblr feature that is automatically implemented into newer blogs as they are created.Â
If you are having ANY issue with infinite scroll, weird post spacing, or any of your add-ons not working in my themes, or any other theme makers themes, the following fix should resolve a lot of your problems.Â
Resolving The Issue [Changing Your Blog Settings]:
Select the blog you are having issues with, and go into your blog settings from the dash.Â
Find the Encryption setting, and switch off âalways serve blog over SSLâ.
Check your blog, everything should be working properly now. :) Remember to check your blog out of customize theme mode.
Basically, the issue with your theme may just be the fact that your blog is showing in HTTPS mode with the SSL setting, which blocks many of the necessary resources that make certain parts of your theme, and your added widgets work.
I hope you found this post to be helpful to you, and if you need any help, feel free to let me know and Iâll help you to the best of my ability.
Credit to the lovely ladies at @htmlqueens for finding this fix before I did!Â
