Spring seems to be coming early to the PNW. I am ready. I'll be in the garden this weekend to give my mind and soul a break from the chaos. I have seeds ready to start, including peas, lettuce, carrots, radish, cabbages, and broccoli. I still need to pick up other seeds and supplies tomorrow.

I planted these late this year, and they are just now blooming. Female begonia bloom. Dad often had begonias planted in boxes that hung on the side of the house.

Stink bug nymphs, aka leaf hoppers, have turned green. Next spring they will be much larger and look like a shield in shape. These little guys have no idea there is a white crab spider waiting on the next leaf. They are on my honeysuckle vine.

The daliahs will keep kicking out blooms a few more weeks as the nights get colder.

The lavender is pushing its last blooms out as the season shifts from a hot, dry summer to cool, soft fall.
