“Thancred, he is certainly an enigma. My opinion of him has changed greatly over the years of knowing him. Oh, why is he an enigma, you ask? Well, I had not realized until fairly recently that while I have known Thancred for years, I have not truly known him... Shall I explain further? When I first met him, I was not particularly impressed, to say the least. I found him to be a selfish philanderer who just so happened to be good at his duty to the Scions. The one instance of five women fighting over his attention did not help change my judgement of him either. It was not until I spent more time with him in Ishgard and during our time in the First that I began to see a different side to Thancred. He truly cares for people. Some might say that it is a weakness to be so attached to others, like Minfilia and Ryne, as it can be a liability. On the contrary, that love and devotion he has for them, the Scions, and to people as a whole, is his greatest strength.”

“Lahabrea... what can I truly say? For so long, he was only a cloaked figure with a mask who threatened to sow the seeds of chaos, and he seemed particularly unhinged at times. He was the enemy that I must somehow destroy at all costs... that was all I needed to know. Yet, now, knowing what I know of the Ascians and their world, fragmented as my knowledge of them is at the moment, I do feel somewhat saddened. I wish I could have known Lahabrea as his people saw him, though I am not sure if I will ever know.”

As for other HCs and who they main:

All three of them ended up choosing their mains because of how they looked, even if for different reasons.

Lerine is good at the game, but doesn’t care about the meta or anything like that, she just wants to be good at using her favorite characters! 😌 She mains Robin and sometimes uses Peach because she likes how her final smash looks.

Haurchefant mains both Link and Marth because they’re kinda like knights, which is an instant “SPLENDID!” from him! 😄

Emet-Selch mains (or at least tries to) Bayonetta because she’s sassy and he likes her style. Sometimes he uses Isabelle, because no one is immune to Isabelle’s adorableness. 😌

When using Link’s final smash Haurchefant can’t help but imitate his moves, while Lerine cheers him up.

Sometimes Haurchefant will teach Emet how to use his mains when Lerine is busy.

And every time Emet ends up getting distracted by him. He can’t help it, Haurchefant’s face is much more interesting than the game. 👀

Hmmm, besides ships that are underage and problematic and/or illegal (ahem shipping the twins together which is incest or Thancred and Ryne wtf is wrong with these people) I don’t have any that are just outright nope. I have some that I don’t care for, but I am of the opinion that you do you!

26: Most shippable character?

Most shippable character, huh? Obviously when you think of FFXIV most will automatically think of either G’raha or Aymeric, possibly even Emet maybe? Especially when you look at how popular these characters are. But when I sit down and really think of who is the most shippable character I can only think of one...

Yeah it’s gotta be Haurchefant! Way before ShB, when we only had ARR and HW story, there were many that shipped with Aymeric and Estinien even, but Haurchefant was by far the most popular ship at the time. I also think given how devoted he is to you, and what ends up happening in HW, it’s kinda hard not to ship with him at some point. I never really did any serious shipping with him myself, but I have friends who still are not over him (looking at you @faerieearthangel).

Lerine!

G'raha is way too impatient and a little on the perfectionist side.

Lerine however, takes all the time she needs, and sometimes even wraps them all over again when she mistakenly cuts too little wrapping paper.

G'raha keeps her company and laughs amicably at her focused expression.

10. Who starts a snowball fight?

Haurchefant!! He's a sneaky one too!

He will usually wait when he knows Lerine is completely distracted or unaware of his presence.

He's got a good aim too! Which makes the fights a lot harder to win!

They usually end up soaked wet and in the mood for a warm cup of hot chocolate.

21. Who is bad at ice skating and keeps falling on their butt?

Emet!

Not that Lerine is any better mind you. Both of them are actually pretty bad at it, but Emet insisted that he knew how to skate perfectly...
