When or if I started shipping it: …As soon as they met? I mean, it was love at first sight for Nico, he literally immediately worshiped Percy and just daaaw. *^*
My thoughts: Beautiful, perfect match. The sea and the underworld. Also, their fathers are two of my favorite (male) gods. And I just looove elementals.
What makes me happy about them: That Nico is literally canonically in love with Percy and all the times that inspired me to write them were actually the way I perceived them, actions of love, all along.
What makes me sad about them: Riordan’s one-track mind of his OTP main couple and the fooorced “have a boyfriend!” at the end of Blood of Olympus.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Blushy, stuttery damsel in distress Nico who somehow needs Percy to rescue him? Like? Have you even read the books?? Nico spends all his time saving Percy’s ass. He literally ever only blushed once and that was in the Labyrinth concerning Annabeth, aka when he lied to save his gay ass with a blonde beard. Nico is a strong badass and that so many people only see 10 year old smol bean Nico still, after everything Nico did, is simply ridiculous to me… *sighs*
Things I look for in fanfic: Percy appreciating and acknowledging the things Nico did for him, being flustered about it when he realizes just how much Nico did for him. Lots of hurt/comfort. Also ABO-verse omega!Percy and alpha!Nico.
My wishlist: Literally the above. Also, wish: For Riordan to finally let go of Percy Jackson and move on. He’s been beating this dead horse for too long now and keeps dragging him out…
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: …I ship both most with Jason if not with each other so there’s a weird problem? xD
My happily ever after for them: Percy embracing his literally gods given pansexuality and riding into the sunset with Nico. Them both saying “screw you” to the gods and having a farm somewhere in Italy.
