Calix’s eyes widened.

Illaoi hums and is content to let the bone bag rake his claws through the thick tangle of brown hair. He has to pull his fingers out of the defiant hair before it catches, but she wonders if he’d rather just pull it out. Her breathing is even as he continues and she doesn’t bother opening her eyes. The waves of the ocean lap at her feet, and she chuckles. “Didn’t think you were much for this sort of thing, wretch.”

Sona was surprised to see her companion up at night. She put on a robe to keep out the chill from the night air. The stars twinkled bright in their home among the black sky and she found him glowing, or what she thought must be a glow. He seemed like he belonged up there, part of the distant heavens.

The little ones noticed her first and began whispering and their movement alerted the being to her presence and he turned and waved at her. She smiled and wondered if he ever slept. She mimed sleeping at him and he just stared at her. Well, she thought he was staring. It was difficult to tell without proper eyes.

Sona shivered against the cool desert breeze and he offered his hand to her. She took it, a curious expression on her face. And he held her hand up and placed it against the ‘mouth’ hole of his mask. He made a curious noise at her after his task was complete because Sona had dissolved into silent giggles. 

He had seen a man do that to her the other day. He must be trying to learn how to communicate. She pat his hand and smiled, eye sparkling with joy. She took his arm and thread hers through, locking their elbows together. Her eyes were drawn to the sky again and she stayed up with him as long as she could. She leaned her head against his arm and began to doze. He must have put her to bed after that, because she woke up tucked in the next morning.

Almost releasing the soul she held in her clawed hands to toy with, the Soulstealer threw a glare in the direction of the sound.

“Warden, was that necessary...?”

😢 for a character whose potential was wasted

Jarvan IV. I think he could be a great character, but he has little to no personality to speak of in the present lore. Sure, he wants to save and unite his people. So does Garen. There’s little else that serves as a basis for what he’s like, internally or externally. 

Chooses the pumpkin: They would both end up having to choose their own individual pumpkin after fighting over ‘the best pumpkin’ and accidently destroying it.

Carves the pumpkin: This would be another argument because they’d both wanna carve it.

Gets scared and clings the other in a haunted house:  We’re talking about Thresh and Nocturne here, they wouldn’t be afraid of a haunted house, they’d probably spend the entire time laughing and pointing out how unrealistic it was

Matching costume idea: Oh Noc.  Definitely Noc.  

Makes a cozy bed-fort to cuddle in: Nocturne would do this even though neither of them sleep.

Steal’s the other’s candy: Noc again.  I can’t imagine Thresh would care until he horked it all up on his floor since he doesn’t actually have a functional digestive tract

Accidentally gets lost in a corn maze: They wouldn’t get lost in a corn maze, unless it was some kind of trippy dream sequences corn maze.  Which is a plausible situation, considering.

Tells spooky stories to scare the other: This would be another dick measuring competition between them.  I don’t think either of them would actually succeed in scaring the other
