I'm hanging onto every word of this champ right here...#Repost @brendon310 ・・・ Last night I saw a transcending play written by Peter Harris featuring @terrelltilford The Johnson Chronicles truth & tall tales about my penis. The play was an epic journey that made me reflect on my childhood, being a parent, becoming an adult, vulnerability, sadness, pain, and happiness. I can't say stars were born through the process of making this play because the team that brought The Johnson Chronicles to life found their talents and genius long ago. I will say that this play puts stars in reach. Meaning stars like Odell Beckham Jr, Russell Simmons, Floyd Mayweather are as untouchable as the constellations. Are they even human? The Johnson Chronicles put the stars within your grasp. You can feel their pulse, hear their breath, & see the spit fly out of Terrell's mouth during his soliloquy. While today's celebrities are of Goliath proportions the intimate setting of the play brings stardust in the form of amazing humans right in front of you. The play humanizes the mighty mythical black penis and the men that wield their colossus appendage. Through hyper-sexualization, stereo types, & machismo Peter breaks down what not only it is to be a man, but to be HUMAN. Definitely a must see. #thejohnsonchronicles (at Matrix Theatre)
