    Claire doesn’t think much of it. Maybe it’s the years at the park where seeing a child without explanation doesn’t even make her think twice ( although that maybe should have changed after the park was destroyed but   - ).  ❝ I think it’ll be informative. ❞ ( that’s not how you talk to kids ).  ❝ Er....my nephews liked it at least. ❞ They might have been humoring her.

     “ where were you? ”   it was a question he knew might be sensitive in nature but mike had to know where jane had run off to while hopper was with them. he had to know that she was safe and nothing bad happened to her- that was his job, protecting her. and if she DID get hurt while she was gone it would probably chew up mike for the rest of time and he would never forgive himself.   “ were you safe? ”

LIFTS A hand up in an  awkward  wave , smiling down to her. he didn ‘ t think they ‘ d been introduced yet , and , considering the  shit  they ‘ d both been through , he figured an introduction was in order. probably best to do it before the next attack on their lives.

  “HEY,   KIDDO.”    bright eyes teem with  PRIDE  as his daughter --    yes, that’s right !    THAT’S HIS DAUGHTER!   --  slides into the passenger seat after a long night of  dancing with her friends.   when the door closes &  seat belt clicks on,   he pulls out of the school parking lot and they begin  the  LONG TREK HOME.     she was safe.    the night went as planned.      “so,    how was it?    you know i have to know all of the details.”
