It was funny, watching the tiny little fish struggle around in the even tinier pond of the Derry public school system. Even funnier to watch them scramble for cover in groups away from the much bigger, meaner fish.
One such little guppy had, inevitably, strayed from the protection of the large numbers of other fish when the call for class time came and with a smirk the bigger fish behind him closed in.
“Where ya goin’, little fag?” came the gruff voice behind the smaller kid, placing the palm of his hand flat against the other kid’s upper back and pushed, hoping to send him careening down the remaining flight of steps.

Why if he brought home that card to his dad, he could only imagine the kind of praise he’d get. It was clear what Henry had to do.
He wants to take the card by force, but that possibility of damaging it was too great and asking for it would become too much a hindrance to his image and pride, so he deigns himself to play nice. Biding his time until an opportunity to snatch the card arises.

the being could only peer at the child within the shadows, his unnaturally white skin contrasting with darkness. besides this, the only other clue of his presence was the sound of his breathing and a quiet, “dook” he had emitted. perhaps even loud enough to catch the child’s attention.
