Praerr was a subjuggulator who considered herself of the highest faith. Ever since she was first educated about the cult in her youth, she chose to dedicate herself to their cause wholeheartedly. She was so invested in her conviction that she rejected her own personhood and chose to think of herself as nothing more than a tool for the will of the Mirthful Messiahs to be carried out. She was an instrument to be used no matter what her personal feelings may be.

However, no instrument can wield itself, so she sought out a carnival to join. After rejecting several she considered to be unworthy, she joined the Choir of Angels Carnival run by a woman named Audora Schiek, though she was more commonly known by her title, Serenade Vocalist. The two hit it off immediately, though despite the overwhelming chemistry between them, they never became matesprits as Praerr feared settling in a quadrant would compromise her role as a tool.

Praerr's chucklevoodoo allowed her to paralyze anyone she looked in the eyes with fear. At its most potent, her voodoo could cause her victims to pass out or have cardiac arrest. She fought alongside Audora and her carnival during The Summoner's rebellion, and she's also the one who killed The Vengeful in retaliation for landing a mortal wound on her leader.

After Audora suffered permanent loss of her voice, and thus the ability to channel her chucklevoodoo, as a result of the attack, she handed control of her carnival to Praerr. She was resistant at first and insisted that she remain by Audora's side, but the former ringleader was adamant that she take her place since she was by far the most devout of her troupe.
