Q&A
I've been getting a lot of questions from my friends and followers so I thought I would take the time to answer a few. Â I love to help people and educate so if you have any questions for me email them to [email protected]
My good friend Pam actually has two questions for me, here is the first:
Q: How can I prevent my eyeliner from running? I use a thick brown pencil with sparkles in it that I LOVE!! Help!
A: There are a few tricks you can try. Â First off anytime you have problems keeping an eye product on invest in a good eye primer. Â Work it close to the lashline to help with eyeliners that run. Â Urban Decay is known for their eye primers and would be one I would suggest. Â Primers give the product a tacky surface to adhere to especially if you have oily lids. Â The other thing you can do is set the liner with a coordinating shadow. Â Since most eyeliners are a creamy wax formula you need to set it with a powder. Â What makes it glide on easily is also what makes it run or rub off. Â This is a good rule of thumb with any makeup. Â 3 easy steps: prep, product, set. Â You always want to sandwich your color product in between layers so that it says put.
Another great tip that my fellow fashionista Ashley, owner of The Shift (an amazing graphic design firm), wanted me to share with you is to stay away from moisturizers and under eye creams with oil. Small amounts of oil from creams and even makeup removers can mix with the eyeliner and cause them to smear.
Keep those questions coming!!!
