About your last post, I noticed something strange. Waaaaaay back in the first game, at the start of the cutscene in the 'secret place', there's a shot of a drawing that kinda looks like five graves/gravestones, four of which have an 'X' over them, while one has an 'O'. Why would they include that as the first shot of the cutscene, making sure we see it, instead of going straight to the drawings of Sora and Kairi?
I’m not going to say that those are graves for sure...
I know what you’re referring to, but I never thought of that as anything in particular. They could be people in cloaks. Boxes. Random squares. Maybe they were playing a game on the wall. Whenever I’ve seen that scene, it seems like Kairi was just reminiscing fondly about the time they spent there by looking at all of the art on the walls, but then it’s the picture of her and Sora sharing the paopu that really catches her attention in a significant way. So I think that was the original intention.
It might mean something different now, but if it does, I’ll just wait for Nomura to tell us. lol Kind of like with the Ark/lifeboat. We know how these things work.
If they actually were originally supposed to be graves, then... Yeah, that could have been evidence of permanent death in KH1. I’m just not sure if that’s what those were...
