it’s the middle of the night and you just dreamt about the being that gave you back your existence. they’ve apologized for putting you in this situation but you never blamed them. this wasn’t their fault and they were just trying to save you from a threat they couldn’t see clearly. they tried and you love them for it. you sit there in the darkness contemplating the past and how far you are from the person you were when you were alive. it's been raining incessantly all morning. it's your day off from work. you sit by the window of your gloomy bedroom, sipping on coffee that has already run cold. outside the window, you see strangers walking by with slumped shoulders and drooping heads, carefully avoiding the puddles of rainwater that have collected on the sidewalk. feeling listless and uneasy, you pull out your earphones and tune into something that lifts your spirits despite your bleak surroundings (concept by @cluelessalien67, playlist by @heartgf)
