imagine: there’s this run down bar that you frequent every saturday night, and it’s always crowded with the live band playing on weekends. The air is hot, thick with the smell of smoke, boozy perfumes, and alcohol. Loud chatter from people accompany the lead singer’s voice. And normally, this would feel so overwhelming and claustrophobic but you’re a couple whiskey glasses in, and you feel good under the warm red lighting as you laugh with someone you just met, leaning in close to hear them over the noise.
