Oh, that I can totally understand. I was talking more about the knee-jerk reaction many people seem to have, thinking that it's "wrong" for them to watch.

I'm not well versed on behavioral / training books so my followers are free to offer suggestions, but I can recommend a few online resources.

Cat Behavior Associates has a lot of good stuff, you can also look through Little Big Cat's Behavior section. The Natural Cat Care Blog also has a section on Cat Behavior. 

There's also Behind the Behavior, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and The Pet Professional Guild. The last one seems to deal mostly with dogs but I think they may have some cat stuff too?

On our Cat Care page we have a section about cats and the rest of the family and a training section, which may offer some useful tips on socialization.

You're welcome! And I'm not insulted. Sometimes it can be hard to tell if you haven't met them in person*, and the fact that I'm stuck using a phone camera for most pictures doesn't help. No worries. =]

How did it die? If it died natural, no worries, but if it died from poison you need to keep a close eye on your pup!

Leg with Ruler: See Above. About 6.5-7" long to her "shoulder".

Withers: Emma is about the same as JP. When we measured her at full height in class - she was 13". At the Agility trial, we got her to lay her head down and straight on which brought her down to 12.5"
