40, 41, 44 :)
Yay! Thanks! I need more reason to procrastinate this paper I’m working on. :D
40: Who wish I could be
I’m gonna take this not to mean a specific person and, instead, to mean, like, my ideal self. In another life, I would be a published, best-selling author with adoring fans, a UN Goodwill Ambassadorship, and invitations to all the best Hollywood parties populated by the world-class actors who star in the film and television adaptions of my though-provoking work. *wipes single tear*
41: Where I want to be right now
Right now I’m in DC waiting for two of my best friends in the universe to get off of work, so I’m pretty content. In general, I always want to be traveling to new places. I introduced a friend traveling in Cambodia to a friend working there via Facebook yesterday, so I guess I wish I were touristing in Siem Reap with them!
44: A random fact about anything
For this one, I’m just gonna quote Mercy Corps:
Syria’s civil war is the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. Half the country’s pre-war population — more than 11 million people — have been killed or forced to flee their homes. … According to the U.N., more than half of all Syrian refugees are under the age of 18. Most have been out of school for months, if not years.
In emergency situations, education is woefully underfunded. Education is a human right, full stop. #NoLostGeneration is an initiative by a group of nonprofits to bring education materials to Syrian refugees in Syria and in camps in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey. Part of their work is social media awareness, so if you are active on twitter consider retweeting them.
Thanks for the questions, @thebarsofhisplight!
