Dear patrons of all restaurants establishments: Now that it's after the holidays, everyone is out spending their gift cards that they got as gifts, which is fine. However I feel the need to point something out: if you use a gift card on your check, you're expected to tip on the ORIGINAL check amount, NOT the amount left over after you use your gift card. You still ordered the value of the food and your server still served you. Therefore, they deserve a proper tip. This also goes for any type of coupons or discounts! Also, some establishments will still have the "original" total at the bottom of the receipt somewhere if you're not sure! Sincerely, TheAnnoyedServer
