The Amazon Rainforest is currently being destroyed and lost forever to raging wildfires. However, long term deforestation also plays a role. While media coverage is outrageously minimal, many have been calling for prayers for the Amazon and have encouraged action to be taken to protect it. However, Brazil’s president Bolsonaro has been widely condemned for his inaction. The Amazon is regarded as “The lungs of the earth” where 20% of the earth’s water is found. and where 2.5 million species of insects live. We must do better. We must save our lungs. We must save the earth.
