Thank you so much! It was the most wonderful experience of my life, and I hope you’ll have the chance to experience it for yourself! Here are a couple of things to try and keep in mind and hopefully they’ll make the whole process a little less stressful!

Talk to any administrator on your campus who is involved in the decision. If you are planning to get credit while on the program, you may need to coordinate with professors, financial aid, scholarships etc. and it it best to start getting that sorted out as soon as you possibly can!

STAY ORGANIZED!!!!! I recommend creating a binder or folder to devote solely to your DCP progress. You will be receiving a lot of emails and confirmations which are always great to hang onto, as well as any notes you have to jot down when you attend meetings with advisers etc. 

When applying, write down exactly what interest you put in each role as well as the job description/role expectations. This will help you in the interview process by knowing exactly what you had said in the past, as well as giving you a reference to what the company expects of you as a Cast Member in those roles

For the Web-Based Interview, be honest and don’t freak out! The questions are timed, but they are very simple so long as you answer every single one truthfully. Don’t worry too much about answering each one the way you think they want you to answer.  

Practice, Practice, Practice! Find someone who is willing to listen to you talk about how much you want work for a mouse while also being honest about whether or not you sound professional. There are a million and seven lists of practice questions out there, I recommend you print one out and carry it around with you just to look at whenever you have a spare moment!

Make a cheat sheet for your interview! Write down some key skills you gained from previous work experiences, as well as some notes that you really want to make sure to mention and any questions that you want to ask your recruiter. I know if I hadn’t written these things down, I totally would have forgotten about them by the end of the interview.

Write down your recruiters name and try to address them by name at some point, whether it be thanking them at the end or asking them questions.
