Genre- Angst
Description- After the argument you stop answering Jungkookâs calls. Unfortunately, he has never been the type to give up easily.Â
Word count- 1,423
Jungkook knew he had made a mistake. The minute the phone had gone off, the had realisation of what heâd said, hit him like a truck. It brought him to tears, he never meant to go that far. Since the argument- which had been the day before- he had tried calling you twenty times. Even though youâd ask him not to call you, he couldnât stop himself. He would never be able to stop himself from talking to you.Â
âLook, Jungkook,â Jimin said, âgive her a chance to calm down, after what you said, itâs going to take some time,â he reasoned. As much as he hated to admit it, Jungkook knew Jimin was right. What he said was not something that could so easily be forgiven. The fear of losing you was weighing on him, he had really messed up.Â
âI know, I know, youâre right-â Jungkook began.
âIâm right! Wow, I never thought Iâd hear that come from your mouth, you must be really upset-â
âAaaand I take it back-â
âNo, you canât take it back now, youâve already said it.â Jimin grinned, widely. âSeriously though, just leave her alone for a while, sheâll come around, youâll see.â He gave Jungkook a reassuring pat on the back and got up of the sofa.
Jungkook stretched himself over the couch. He was emotionally exhausted. From the beginning, when he first spoke to you, he knew that you were different, that you would the one girl that was always going to be on his mind.
~
~Jungkookâs POV~
I couldnât believe she was standing right in front of me. She was even more beautiful in reality, everything about her was perfect. I couldnât believe she was really here.Â
âIâm finally here, see?â She put her arms around my neck and pulled me closer. My body went stiff.
âIâm so sorry for whatever I said, so sorry, please just donât leave me.â She smiled up at me.
âI would never leave you...besides could I leave you, when I love you?â I had been dying to hear her say those words since the beginning, to hear her finally tell me she loved me felt so surreal, like I was dreaming. But I knew I would never be able to make her understand just how much I loved her.Â
~
Jungkook woke up with a start, sprawled on the sofa. It was all a dream, his heart sank.Â
Of course, it was all a dream, sheâs never going to be by my side, it was just wishful thinking. Neither will she ever say those words, Iâm so stupid.
His thoughts were interrupted by his phone going off. He lunged for it from the other end of the sofa. His mind went straight to hoping it was your call; answering so quickly that he didnât even bother check the number.
âHello!â he exclaimed, sounding overly excited.
âHi!â It was Eunji. His hopes had been crushed once again. He felt as if nothing was going his way, and that the whole world was plotting against him.Â
âOh, hey,â he said his tone dropping. He didnât mean to sound so unenthusiastic, he didnât want to be rude; however, he couldnât bring himself to even smile, let alone sound cheerful.
âWhat, were you expecting someone elseâs call?â she asked, suspiciously.
âNo, never mind, so whatâs up?â he asked trying to sound interested. He heard a squeak from the other side, that caused him to jump slightly.
âWell, yesterday, I got a phone call from my mum and dad- and guess what?â
âWhat?â
âThey said theyâre coming to my wedding, theyâll be arriving to Korea in a week! Can you believe it! Iâm so excited and happy!â she exclaimed. Jungkook was happy for her, she finally got what she wanted- though he couldnât stop thinking about never getting what he wanted- and hearing her talk about her wish coming true made him feel increasingly worse.
âAnd guess what? she continued, the spark in her voice still there.
âWhat?â
âMy baby sisterâs coming too! Oh, I have to introduce you to her, sheâll love you- well not literally.â Jungkook froze. There was no way he was comfortable enough to meet another girl, especially since the only girl he had been thinking about in the past few months was you.Â
âHm- well Iâm glad youâre happy,â he said, trying to pretend he hadnât heard the mention of her sister.Â
âI want you to be happy too, are you okay?â she asked, concerned.Â
âIâm fine, seriously. You start preparing for your wedding, and cheer up now, youâll have your parents,â he said, trying to sound a little bit more energetic. Â
âI will, I was thinking about going dress shopping in a week, so my sister and mum can go with me when they get here. But anyway, thanks for everything, I donât think any of this would have been possible without your advice... you really are a lucky charm Jungkook.âÂ
âIâm not but Itâs nice that you think so. Bye.âÂ
âBye!â Â
~
After spending another hour wallowing in his misery, Jungkook decided to get some fresh air, hoping it would take his mind of everything. He sat down on a bench, in front of small vegetable stall. He watched people walk by. Unluckily for him there seemed to be a large number of couples out today, walking hand in hand, whispering sweet words to each other. He felt a knot in his stomach, he knew that he would never get to experience this. He would never know what holding your hand felt like, what your skin felt like on his. He sighed, from the moment he had first heard your voice he had known that you would change his life.
A phone call awoke from his deep contemplation. When he saw whose number it was, he answered at the speed of light.Â
âHello?â he asked, trying to keep his voice down even though he couldnât contain his happiness.Â
âHi,â You answered quietly.
âListen Iâm so sorry for everything,â he began frantically, âI don't know what I was saying, just please, please donât leave me-â
âYou donât need to say sorry.â You said. The truth was you had really been at fault not him. You made him feel guilty even though you had been the one who had started the argument, who had insulted him and his parents; he shouldnât have been the one apologising- you should.Â
âWhat, why? Look please, donât say that, Iâm begging you, donât leave me-â
âWait, you donât need to say sorry because it was all my fault. I was riled up after arguing with my parents and then-â you paused for a second, âI argued with you for no good reason, itâs all my fault not yours.â You fell deadly silent.
âNo, but I shouldnât have said what I said after, I am sorry.â
âIâm sorry too,â You replied wanting to end the conversation. You knew the argument had been stupid and escalated too far too quickly. You wanted to forget that it had ever happened, âAnyway, I called you to tell you some good news-â
âWhat is it-â
âGuess whoâs going to be on a plane to South Korea in a week?â
âSeriously!â
âYes, Seriously! My parents came around after I had that argument with them, when I came home my mum broke down... and well I guess they had discussed it while I was gone and... yeah! Iâm so happy!â You had never been happier then when your parents had told you the news. Finally, you and Jungkook would meet each other and not have to talk over a glass screen.
âMe too!â I donât even know what to say!â It wasnât a lie Jungkook was truly speechless, after everything that had happened he was at a loss for words.Â
âSay youâll stop bothering me about it now?â you requested.Â
âHa, fine, I will- I wonât even need to mention it now.â A smile was etched on his face, and it wasnât going to disappear anytime soon.
âGood, also I have something else to say, that I probably should have said sooner.â Your heart started beating ten times faster. These were words that were long overdue.
âWhatâs that?â Jungkook asked.Â
âI love you.â Heâd finally heard it. The one phrase he had been dying to hear for so long. Now it was confirmed that you felt the same. He loved you and you loved him.
âI love you too,â he replied quietly. Truer words had never been spoken.Â

Genre- Angst
Description- You and Jungkook have an argument, leading him to say something you may never be able to forgive him for. Could this be the end of your relationship?Â
Word count- 1,255
âWe got a call from your sister yesterday.â Your mother said. You were sat down with both your parents. It was your day off today, but unfortunately you knew today was the day your parents would choose to break some bad news to you.
âSheâs getting married in a monthâs time.â Your father added. You didnât know what to think. You were happy for her, of course, but at the same time you knew your parents would never go to the wedding. You chose, against your better judgement to ask anyway.
âSo are we going to the wedding.â You had an ulterior motive. Sure, you wanted to be there to witness your sister get married. However, Jungkook constantly pestered you to ask your parents to visit your sister, under this pretext you could finally meet him too. He had asked you so much you were almost sick of it. If your parents decided to go to your sisterâs wedding, both your problems would be solved.
âOf course not, sheâs married someone without our consent, we are not going. We donât want her influencing you either, so you run off with some-â
âMUM!â You didnât know what came over you. Maybe it was hearing your parents talk that way about your sister, or the fact she was about to make an offensive comment. Or maybe it was the fact that this served as confirmation that they would never accept you talking to Jungkook. What would happen when they found out you loved him? Even he wasnât fully aware of your feelings; youâd never really confessed.
âIs there a problem? I donât appreciate you raising your voice at me.â Your mum looked at you sternly.
âNothing, itâs just... I think we should go.â You reasoned.
âWhat you think doesnât matter.â Your father replied âItâs our decision.â
âWELL IâM NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR DECISION!â you bellowed and ran upstairs to your room. Your mood had changed so quickly you had shocked yourself. It was because in your heart, you knew you and Jungkook could never be together if your parents had their way.
You grabbed your coat from behind your door and frantically put it on, your body shaking. Your ran back down the stairs. Your parents got up to stop you -but you stormed past them- and exited out of the front door, slamming it behind you.
~
You were sat on your own on a wooden bench in the park. You usually came here when you needed time on your own, time to gather your thoughts.
Today was my day off, look how it turned out. You sighed deeply. Nothing was ever easy when it came to your mum and dad. Perhaps they didnât mean to, however, they made your life very difficult; more difficult than it should be. Your phone went off, you pulled it out of your pocket and checked to see who it was. If it was your parents you definitely werenât answering it.
It turned out to be Jungkook. You answered immediately.Â
âHello, âyou said, youâre voice slightly hoarse from shouting. He knew something was wrong instantly.
âAre you okayâ he asked, concerned. You didnât want to worry him, you were the least of his problems, so you opted to lie.
âYes, Iâm fine.â You sniffled slightly, it was cold outside and tears were welling up in your eyes, as much as you tried to force them back.Â
âI was going to ask-â he began, but you already knew what was coming. How many times was e going to bring this up?
âPlease! If youâre going to ask me about my parents, donât.â You snapped. He was taken aback.
âI just wanted to know-â
âI know what you want to know! Just stop!âÂ
âYouâre not event letting me speak!â He burst.
âBecause I know what youâre going to say, you ask me every single time! Why don't you just drop it! You exclaimed
âAll Iâm asking is for you to ask your parents to come here, to visit your sister, why is that such an issue?
âIâve explained to you time and time again, my parents are strict, they donât want to talk to my sister. Itâ not that easy for me to ask them about it. For godâs sake, I literally just argued with them about that, and you know what? Itâs not even for my sister, Itâs for you. I argued with them for your sake.âÂ
âItâs not that difficult, you could come here yourself, you are eighteen-â
âOh, so just cos your parents donât give a fuck about what you do, you think mine donât?â You knew you were rude to him, you were probably rude to his parents too. However, all you could process at this moment, was the fact that he was clearly in the wrong.
âI wouldnât have minded you talking shit about me, but don't you dare talk shit about my parents,â he said in a threatening tone, that made your eyes widen. He had never spoken to you like that before.Â
âWhy are you so offended? You donât know your mum and dad that well anyway, you were so quick to live the life of fame you dumped them. Stop pretending you care about them-â
âSHUT UP! YOU DONâT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHO I CARE ABOUT AND WHO I DONâT. YOU STILL HAVENâT REALISED, EVEN NOW, THAT REASON I ALWAYS BEG YOU TO COME TO KOREA IS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!â He shouted.Â
âWELL DONT BEG ME! I CANâT GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT, I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT! you cried. He gave a bitter laugh that made your stomach turn.Â
âAnd yet, youâve still ignored what Iâve said. I love you, you obviously donât feel the same way, I can see that now.â The way he said it, as if he truly believed it, made you want to die. Right now, that was the only way out you could see.
âLook-â you began.
âI havenât finished. You and I are both aware that I could have any girl I want. There are other girls out there who are so much more than you, theyâre all at my feet. But you- do you seriously think youâre in any position to reject me?â he spat. You couldnât grasp what heâd just said. You would never have thought he would ever say something like that to you. He reminded you of your status, you were nothing compared to him and heâd brought that to your realisation once again.Â
âYour right, Iâm in no position to reject you, just like Iâm in no position to be with you in the first place. Thank you for reminding me where I stand. Now I know it could never have worked out. After all Iâm just a waitress, and you- well youâre a celebrity arenât you? A rising star, Iâm nothing compared to you. You know what, Jungkook, donât call me back. Find some other girl, like you said, theyâre all at your feet, so it shouldnât be too difficult for you.â You turned off the phone abruptly, not even giving him a chance to retaliate.Â
He doesnât realise how much heâs hurt me. Why did he say that? If he really loved me he wouldnât have said that.Â
However- what hurt you exceedingly more than what Jungkook said- was the fact that he still couldnât understand your feelings. He had no idea just how much you loved him, and he may never understand.Â
