The Road So Far...
Season 1: Dad's missing, Sam is still an innocent adorable baby face, and everything is a lie.
Season 2: Dad's dead, Dean bottles his emotions, Sam feels guilty, I love Ellen, Jo, and Ash, spirits and ghosts oh my, and everything is a lie.
Season 3: Hell starts happening, the boys realize this is war, you can't convince me that Ben isn't Dean's kid, witchcraft, Bobby does stuff, hey look it's the Trickster because pagans, and the truth that this show is going to destroy you mentally and emotionally finally starts to set in.
Season 4: Dean comes back from hell, Sam is banging a demon, Ruby ruins everything, Lilith, seals, angels, Lilith, apocalypse, Zachariah is a dick, Lilith, angels, angels, LARPing, angels, Dean Smith and Sam Wesson, Lilith, the devil, and if you're not reduced to a puddle of nothing yet then just wait because you'll get there. Edit: In this description of season 4 I realized I forgot Adam and I think it's kind of appropriate to leave it that way.
Season 5: Sam's hair gets even more fabulous, Dean is pissed off, Chuck is a prophet of his own son (apparently...how does that work?), angels, demons, hell, the apocalypse, it's a great time to be alive, Croatoan, Anna is Glenn Close, Matt Cohen is amazing, Gabriel 'dies', there's pagans all around, brotherly feuds, Michael and Lucifer try to fight even though Lucifer is all "no brother I love you", Sam throws himself into hell because his lovely memories with Dean and the impala let him overpower Lucifer (way to go moose!), Chuck 'goes home', Dean goes on to stay with Lisa, and if you're not destroyed yet then you have no soul.
Season 6: Sam was pulled from hell just as half the Campbell family was brought back to life, Bobby does way too much for them and is highly under appreciated and I really want Bobby to find someone but that's not this show,  Castiel, Dean, Castiel, Dean, Destiel, Crowley, Crowley, Crowley whose real name is Fergus Rodric MacLeod (aye!), Sam is soulless, Sam has no soul, Sam has no empathy, I laugh often at the things Sam says, I like this Sam, Sam gets his soul back because Dean had this thing with Death and yeah..their relationship is weird, Lots of Meg 2.0, dragons, demons, and angels, Balthazar, Fate, "Because that godawful Celine Dion song made me want to smite myself", and I'm not fully through this season yet but getting there, and if you haven't cried or lost it once up to this point then I am both concerned and amazed.Â
