Next on the list is The Puppetman, about the daughter of a man on death row who claims his body was being controlled when he murdered his wife. 5 minutes in and I need to pump the breaks because the protagonist's best friend is talking about "Satanic pedophile elites". That's dogwhistles, my guys. You can't be saying that.
At least the actors sound like real people this time.
I'm not crazy about how this takes place in November because I do not want to be thinking about snow right now. Petty non-criticism.

OCTOBER 24TH HORROR WATCH
The Puppet Man (2023)
The trailer gives away too much
The roomie is genuinely trying to be a good friend but also genuinely looking at her like a sideshow
Oh ho ho we see because she was being creepy AF before she knew about her past so i wound be recording to
Stuck rooming with a sleep walker is scary shit
No one is the LEAST bit freaked out sis pissed her off then immediately offed herself in the oddest way possible
Cop is suspicious
The abuse confession rang disingenuous and the boys response everyone's response to her without remorse should ring like it's because everyone knows there's something off about her but instead it just looks callus
These actors can't do depth
Only the adults are giving so far i'm sorry kids
Except for the black girl they killed these aren't SUPER great actors
It was refreshing the parents did it AND to have humans admit acknowledged they got played by a demon and be pissed about it
What remains unclear is why did she kill her mom
And why did they keep her locked up if they WANTED her to be demon possessed??
The middle deaths were prolonged and awkward
The ending tracks if the medium is dumb as a box of rocks and the trickster was playing possum from jump.
(that is after the money)
Because why would it be asleep due to a regular sedative?
Why would it jump, into a dead man?
How could it jump and be asleep?
Literally no reason, idiots all of them.
