I love how we opened with a scene demonstrating that Bolaire is a serial killer who plans his murders with the casual enjoyment of treating himself to a nice restaurant, and most audience members have decided to believe the story he told Hal.

I just realized that when Shane finds Ilya up on the roof in Las Vegas and he's drunk and hurt that Ilya wasn't around to celebrate--or at the very least acknowledge--his Rookie of the Year award he immediately makes a suicide joke, "I don't know if it's worth jumping over." But he doesn't know that Ilya's mom is dead yet, much less HOW she died. And then he makes it worse by saying that it must be nice that Ilya is going home in three days when that's the absolute last place on earth Ilya wants to go because the one person in his family who ever truly loved him won't be there.
