ORIGIN: Dan Stevens was flying in a prototype jet on the brink of disintegration, shortly before he was taken in by the tractor beam of an alien spaceship. He was operated on by the ship's technology in an attempt to save him. However, they were unsuccessful and transferred his consciousness into a G-Body, where he was reborn as Hypernaut.
He would later face villains such as Numberjack, Pi-Face, and the Chess Set (who would return in "Tales of the Uncanny" #41, "The Chilling Chimes of Checkmate")."
