No explanation needed 🤔
Darys
So I started playing Dragon Prince: Xadia and I noticed there is someone named Darys in the game. Now I remembered there already is a Sunfire elf character named Darys who is a fighter. He was mentioned in Chasing Shadows. Now since Darys is working in the border in the game it means he is skilled in combat, so I think he's the same elf.
We can see the earrings in both of the pictures and from a different angle in the game we can I see Darys has a braid, so I'm thinking they use the same character on purpose and it's so cool! That's what I love to see using really random and minor characters no one remember few times to add more layers to them!

ALL RIGHT! The people have spoken!!!! So here are my border theories and deep diiiiive And as always this is just for fun and 100% headcanons, so don't take it seriously anyways have fun!
ALSO SPOILERS AHEAD!
There is painfully little we actually know about the border, other than the watchman residing on it, and it being the sepparation between the Sphere and the Ground but, as far as we know know is that most people end up "dying" or in a vegetative state as i call it.
Since i am unsure that Norede is actually dead, we saw her "head" vanish, but when we saw her body later, it was intact, so there is a possibility, that the watchman destroys the concious mind, leaving people trapped in their own bodies. Almost like a punishment.
Speaking of the watchman, we only ever see it's sillouette but there is a couple thoughts of what or who it might be.
I a'int big on religious theories but, if we wanna go there, the watchman is the sepparation between "heaven" and "hell" or .. The Sphere and the Ground and it serves as it's Judge, expect the ground is a hellscape that humanity created for itself, slowly bit by bit corrupting every inch of it, making it near impossible to live in peace. While those on the Sphere are the ones that are given the opportunity to live in lavis conditions, if they abide by the confines of its rules. Casting anyone out for any mistake, even ones they did not commit.
Another theory, is that the watchman was once a person, slowly but surely their body changing to become what it is today.
The watchman's hands have a similar pattern to what Rudo has, wich makes me think, that the original creator of the watchman series, wich we now know was a Surebec, ended up twisted by their own creations. Wanting to create something that could help humanity, but ultimately, it twisting it's own creator beyond recognition, its a painful reminder of how no matter the initial intent, humanity can corrupt anything good in its wake. (Although this is veeeery far fetched.)
Now to border crossing
We only know of a couple people actually crossing the border, and "living". One being Alto, who seemed to regularly do so, it's implied that Regto also had crossed several times, and obviously Rudo, and Tamsy both crossed the border, with Tamsy doing it several times.
Although originally i have thought about the possibility, that it has to do with the Surebec bloodline, but that idea quickly falls appart, as soon as we come to Tamsy and that disgusting traficker.
So after pondering on it for quite some time, i had kind of a wild theory, and it all came because of Baby Rudo in Alto's arms.
I think the key to cross the border is the watchman series, posessing one piece of the series, allows it's "host" to cross the border without an issue, wich we also saw, when that filthy disgusting traficker tok Amo. Because as we know, that man had one of the watchman series, and he went from the sphere to the ground, at least semi frequently.
However baby Rudo did not wear a watchman piece, so i think that there is a possibility, that as long as you are in contact with a piece, even if you don't have it on your person, you can survive the crossing, however you have to be physically touching the item itself. As to why? There is a possibility that, the watchman series cloaks them from the eye of the watcher, thus allowing them safe passage.
Now comes the stupidest idea i had probably, thus its gonna be at the end.
The Sphere, what is it? How did it get above the border? And who created it?
I had a thought, that the Sphere itself, was created by the user of the "book" from the watchman series. That their obsession was to rise above it all, to leave the "filth" behind.
My thought was the border was created with the book, after the Sphere, as a way to sepparate them from the ground, and not allowing anyone to leave their "preordained roles".
That is why the book was on the Sphere from the get go, as for Tamsy and getting his hands on one of the watchman series, i think he originally was NOT from the Ground. We do not know much of him before he joined the Cleaners, but there is a possibility, that he came in contact with a piece on the Sphere, either on his own or someone gave it to him, giving him a purpouse, for something greater. (especially since we do not know anything of the second angel yet)
This theory of mine about Tamsy being from the Sphere also originates from his vital instrument Tokushin, as we see that on the Sphere, clothes are from better materials than on the Ground, weaved in a different way, i don't think that on the Ground they had anything similar to weaving due to that being a very time consuming job that requires very specific materials, and what place has more than enough time and resources? The Sphere. (but this is also far fetched)
Although thats it for now, as i literaly just woke up, i don't know why i decided to write this right after waking up on a Sunday.. but, i do hope at least it makes some sense, and i might come back and edit some of it, if i remember anything else.
For now, i mostly made this for myself, to reference in case i ever wanna write a fic, that will heavily rely on the border, and i wanna do something craaazy with it, but uhm probably not ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
It didn't take long for Trudeau to cave in 🤔
