The Baggage Handler by David Rawlings

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A short read? Yes. A great read? Not bad at all, it depends on the individual reading the book in my opinion. I would not say this was the best book about a person carrying baggage (issues, problems, etc.) around with them, but I would say it was the most eccentric book I have ever read about people carrying baggage around with them.

To be published tomorrow, March 5th, “The Wall” by John Lanchester, a dystopian (but maybe not so much) novel about an island nation that surrounds its coastline with a huge wall. 

Also coming to a bookstore near you tomorrow, “The Baggage Handler” by David Rawlings, a magical realism novel that makes the emotional baggage we carry around with us visible. Sounds like an interesting concept!
