Hey all! To round out the Best Teen Wolf Rarepair ship tournament, I'm going to give the rankings of how every Rarepair ship placed of the 128 Teen Wolf Rarepair Ships in it. How I'm ranking them is going by the rounds. So the Rarepair ships that didn't make it past the first round are the lowest, then second, third round etc - within each round, they're ranked by how many or few votes they got.

So if a Rarepair ship made it past the first round, I'll put their total votes just to see how many they got throughout the whole competition, and just for those who might be curious - but total votes don't have any bearing on their placements. So one Rarepair ship might have gotten a lot one round and very few the next round, but have more total votes than the Rarepair ship ranked above them because that Rarepair ship got more votes the second round.

I know this ranking isn't full proof, but I'm just doing this for fun, so again let's not take it too seriously. This way just made the most sense for how each Rarepair ship should be ranked. Also I will highlight a Rarepair ship's vote count red to indicate that it was eliminated that round.

. I was going through Teen Wolf scripts, and I saw how he pleaded for Hayden's life. We never saw him do that for anyone else. I doubt he did, knowing him. But he pleaded for Haydens. She was the one he wanted to live. (While he could manipulate Liam with her living, her dying let him manipulate Liam to nearly kill Scott which he then finished (for a tiny bit though. Not long.) So Hayden was useful dead and Theo, who thought most of his plans through, still didn't want her dead. He wanted her alive.)

. Theo never threatened Hayden as much as he did everyone else.

. While it did nothing to his plan, when she was dying, he was sat in the ground with her and smoothing her hair and whispering to her.

. He made Tracy kill her dad and none of the other Chimeras had to connection to their human life but Hayden. Her sister Valerie. He never went after her. Threatened her. Hurt her.

. While Hayden stayed with Deucalion because she was a lie ability when it came to Liam, she was left with their one leverage over Scott. That requires a lot of trust. And there was a 95% chance that they wouldn't even see Liam in Eichen House. Because they could get through the wolfsbane, and Liam couldn't. My guess is because he knew people were gonna get hurt.

. He sees himself in Hayden. Their transplants. Lost their lives to hospitals. Fought to survive. Supernatural experiments to things they didn't even understand.

. But he also sees Tara in her. What she could've been. Surviving. Thriving. Confident. Alive and becoming whatever she wanted.

yayy im glad someone else is interested lol!! i lowkey had no time to write anything for this yet (im in the middle of moving) so let me just explain my thought process. sorry this is so long!! im just a little crazy about hayden and theo separately and together.

firstly, laydens relationship was mostly just sex and bad dates (yikes) but they were still in love, however i do think that the person hayden cares the most for is her sister. they both live in beacon hills and it’s so dangerous especially bc her sister is a deputy (bh does not have a good track record w their deputies staying alive) and also hayden died before and she can never talk to her sister about that and it caused a rift between them two.

i picture hayden would have a lot of confusing feelings about that, which contributes to the fact that all she wants to do is get out and know 100% that both her and her sister would survive the night. she doesn’t want to leave liam bc she knows how much he needs her—he literally self-destructed so hard when he thought she was gone that he almost killed his alpha. but also she doesn’t like how much he needs her, she doesn’t like how much liams stability depends on her because it’s another person who hayden has to perform for. she performs for her sister by pretending like they’re both not in danger, and she performs for liam so that he won’t explode.

but with theo it’s never a performance. since the beginning she always acted like herself around him, in s5 by showing how scared she was of everything and accepting his offered protection. in s6 she’s allowed to be as angry as she wants with him. more than that, he understands her trauma better than anyone else—he’s a chimera and he went through death before too. he also had a sister, which is so important bc a only child could never understand the bond between siblings.

i think s6 she would be so mad at him. she would hate him so much because of tracy and josh, bc of how he treats life with so little meaning that he doesn’t even feel remorse after killing them for power when hayden was probably thinking about how important someones life can be to those who know them. and yet. her anger with him coexists with her want to be understood, and theo is the only one she can turn to.

the cheating part starts sometime shortly after hayden and val buy a new place outside of bh, and it starts accidentally. she finds him, after the ghost riders. probably in some grocery store that she stops in after a run. and it’s the first time they see each other since the ghost riders, since the cell when she was so mad at him, and he’s just existing like nothing had happened. she talks to him bc she can’t really talk to anyone else in her life—talking to her sister feels suffocating now because of everything she has to talk around, and talking to the mccall pack or liam is just as worse bc she can’t break it to them that she’s leaving them to protect bh without her help. of course she’s still mad at him but it’s easier to be mad than anything else. the first time they hook up she feels ashamed and horrible after but only bc of how much she enjoyed it, his company and the way he always looked at her like they’re the same and not like how liam looks at her, like his salvation.

basically, since im getting way too into it, theo is just exactly what she wants in the ways that liam isn’t, and she feels horrible for thinking that but also she’s looking for an excuse to break up with liam that’s more than just moving away bc she wants something that would make him see her as imperfect so he would stop depending on her so much. also theo knows that hayden and liam r together, but he still is okay w being the other man in the relationship and you can say it’s because he’s doing this to be w liam by proxy or because he also finds a connection in hayden that he never had before and for the first time in his life he’s allowed to explore a relationship with someone rather than prepare himself for their eventual departure from his life by sabotaging himself. or u can say both which i will as an #thiam endgame person.
