Realistically I understand why groups usually get split up in stories it means multiple things can happen at once it builds a bit of tension creates a nice A and B plot it's easier to write smaller groups of people and also it can lead to some fun dynamics between characters but also fuck all that if its just a lazy excuse for the miscommunication trope if one of the groups know a vital piece of information and it takes the rest or even just half the show for the other group to learn this information then fuck you I hate your show
