Marie Eline, also known as theĀ āThanhouser Kidā was one of multiple child silent film stars known primarily for their roles as young boys. Contrary to popular belief, female cross-dressing in theater and film was not only accepted but considered wholesome, and Eline was one of such figures. She starred in over 100 films between 1910 and 1919, before retiring from acting.
