10: What kind of jokes make them laugh?
I think Thalliah has a surprisingly broad sense of humor. She’s the kind of person who might snort unexpectedly when you tell a dirty joke you don’t expect her to find funny. I imagine when she laughs she politely giggles for about 0.5 seconds before it devolves into loud full bodied laughter. I think she would also be the type of person who, when they learn a new joke, tell it to everyone they know so they can laugh at it over and over again. If she lived in modern day she would be that person who would send you funny tiktoks and vine compilations that you’ve probably already seen.
I’d say if theres any form of humor she’s not fond of it would be dark/dry/morbid humor (though she understands it’s purpose) or derogatory humor. Because it’s not actually funny to make fun of people. And she wont be quiet about letting you know.
15: What is the first thing people notice about them?
That she is very short and very pink
16: What do they look for in a friend? A love interest?
Someone who understands her busy schedule and doesn’t mind when she has to cancel plans at the last minute. Wedding planning takes up a large chunk of her time. She likes to surround herself with people she admires, folks she can laugh with and who will have fun with her. She likes to really spend time getting to know people and so often learns more about people than they expect. She considers all her friends family. So expect a handwritten Windersday card for the holidays and a small gift on your birthday, even though you don’t actually remember telling her when it was…
In regards to a love interest I think very few people measure up to the idillic vision she has in her mind. At heart, Thalliah is a hopeless romantic and, while she tells herself she can be realistic about her standards for potential suitors, she acknowledges that at some of her dreams are a bit over the top. That being said, she’s quite enjoying being single right now! She loves that she can prioritize her friends and career.
23: What is your character's favourite food and who cooks it best?
I think Thalliah is a sucker for sweets and every time she goes to a new town she keeps a keen eye on the lookout for the local bakery or sweet shop. Angel Food would be her favorite, I think, with whipped cream and strawberries and maybe some lemon zest added to the batter. I think Cal (her best friend and business partner) treats her to an expensive cafe sometimes after they finish a big job.
24: What are your character's special skills?
Thalliah’s best and most useful skill by far is that she is very good with people. She is good at deescalating conflict, calming people down, knowing when to listen and when to speak. On the job she is firm, but considerate, and Cal often has her take a more front facing role in wedding prep since she can talk a troubled soon-to-be-wedded person down from a tantrum or panic spiral like no one else.
She’s also an amateur seamstress and florist and can whip out a last minute bouquet and do repairs on a damaged or ill-fitting garment minutes before the ceremony, no sweat! She’s hoping to train these skills more someday so she can formally offer these as services for their business.
