π€ are they a light or heavy sleeper?
Im so torn between him being a VERY heavy sleeper or a VERY light sleeper so Iβll pitch you both and yall can help me make this important character decision.
Very light sleeper: often sleeps outdoors and sleeps light enough to wake up in a pinch, but also sleeps so lightly that heβll wake up if someone breathes too loud in the next room over which leaves him irritable and tired. Always needs at least 4 1/2 cups of coffee to feel functional.
Very heavy sleeper: sleeps like the dead. Has on more than one occasion startled someone who was very nearly convinced he WAS in fact deceased. Cannot wake up quickly and always needs at least 4 1/2 cups of coffee to feel functional.
i think part of the reason that dante is so ooc around the girls in 5 is because the writers would crumple up and die if they actually bothered giving trish and lady a real role in the story. I love the two of them to death but they were seemingly just included to make the boys look stronger and its infuriating. the result is that the plot requires dante focus on other things, making him seem neglectful of the girls
i feel like dante was also just unnecessarily mean to nero tho tbh. the deadweight comment seemed rly forced for him- especially considering the respect and amazement at nero's power in 4.
i just feel like in dmc5, they brought dantes character down in order to make nero (and to a lesser extent, vergil) and his growth stand out and shine more when that wasn't necessary. dante was fun-loving, blase, yet caring, and concerned in 4 but nero still had adequate time to shine, so it wasn't imperative they dumb down or mischaracterize dante to make nero or anyone else stand out.
i feel the solution would've been to give Dante more time to show these off kind qualities to him that were really lacking in 5 that made him (at least for me and my first impressions of Dante) come off as selfish and a prick. but no- dante had to be sidelined because itsuno has a hardon for vergil and nero is itsu's son.
