I was just asking how it would benefit romance more than friendship and totally respect your opinion. I agree comics deviate from comics, much like movies from comics in many aspects just looking at Bucky's history Hydra, Stark's parents, his role in Civil War. We have to consider also competition for especially Bruce and Steve. People gonna ship what they want to ship. Bruce is gonna return and who knows what they're going to do with them, also what about Staron. Will they continue or not?
Generally people like romance. I enjoy romance. I’d like to see how they could play romantically. That’s the only benefit, for those of us who want romance. It doesn’t have to be like a Romantic Movie to have romantic, sensual moments of mutual affection. It can still be a kickass story with the support that comes from a close relationship.
I’m not downplaying friendship, if all I got out of it was a friendship that was as good as their relationship in the comics, only just platonic, you wouldn’t hear me bitching (too much).
I don’t see there being any competition with Steve for Natasha. I think they should explore more of Steve and Sharon’s arc too because there’s so much they could take from the comics again. I think Steve would be the one to say, “You remember my friend Nat? I think you should talk.” I mean, he’s gotta get Nat back for all that setting up she tried in TWS.
As for Bruce, I’m not a fan of that pairing. It’s my opinion, I’m not bashing anyone who might find it enjoyable. My own thought is that since we know Nat’s strong, I kinda want her to say “That was a shitty thing you did, leaving without giving me a chance. I’m better than that.” Effectively ending any competition there too.
I’d be happier if they’d have said that Clint, Laura, and Nat were in a poly relationship than building her emotions and dumping all over her.
That’s what I don’t think Natasha deserved. Being dumped.
