fun fact: tgaa1 only uses the pursuit theme in three of its five cases, with it being completely absent from cases 2 and 3.
In case 2, this is due to the lack of a courtroom section. Given the structure of the dance of deduction and the circumstances of the culprit, I don't really feel like it would fit even if they tried fitting it in there.
As for case 3, which is nearly entirely a courtroom section, the lack of a pursuit theme is... strange. I'm not even sure it was intentional, but I do think it might add a little to the hollow feeling of the end of 1-3. It makes it feel like the trial's ending before a fundamental part of the process can happen, even if you don't recognize what it is.
So yeah, it makes sense, it's just a funny choice. I doubt there's another game in the series that just... doesn't have the pursuit theme in multiple cases.
