quite interesting how this show has managed to give almost all their characters their own personal motives for reaching their goals e.g., zhengyi with her competitive spirit and to make her mum proud, beisheng initial vengeance towards his mum and later to make the impossible possible post career ending injury, xiaoyi's cut-throat individuality, coach xiao (i do not like this man) and his promise to xiaoyi/guilt but for xiao qing everything's to do with beisheng.....?

was smiling all day thinking about zhengyi's confession she's so stinking cute i love the way she's soooo so sincere about everything she does. she gives her 100% in training, put on a grand event to apologise profusely to lele (still the cutest thing i've ever seen), researched ways to get beisheng to reconcile with his mum, tried her best to defend lele against criticisms from the coaches and refused to abandon her, cried when beisheng agrees to date after all that chaos - she's just so full of heart i adore her so much

this is the most low stakes fake dating i've seen, baisheng's only reason for it was so that liu fei would give up on him but she gave up almost instantly and hasn't appeared in a couple eps so at this point he's just doing it for the love of the game lmao
