My #curls are #poetry in motion. I find myself spellbound by the outcome of all the time, love and tenderness I put into my hair. I woke up, showered and moisturized my curls. When I set them free they look perfectly styled with just a few tousle flicks of my wrists. I then put them back on top of my head until it’s time to head out for my day. I’m really trying to be intentional@about being kind to myself, but I feel as if I’m struggling so hard. I really feel like I keep self sabotaging simple shit. I catch myself in time but those negative thoughts and desires to runaway from what immediately stresses me is crazy. I’m being kind to myself so, I won’t negative self talk. However, as a realistic viewer I’m trying to establish boundaries with my own self. Yesterday, I was listening to this therapy podcast I now can’t go without and heard this actress who is 30+ years my senior tell my story. Sorry for this allusion, but it was so like “Killing Me Softly” by Roberta Flack. I’m driving in my car listening to @TinaLifford on #TFBG about self work and personal development. Kinda can’t remember if it was about #AuntVi’s story or her own because it was a conversation jumping bk and forth between the two. But I felt like I was hearing a reflection about my own journey of internal work. Anyways.. bk to the norm.. here is my new set of #pajamas given to me by my cousin for Xmas.
