TFA Springer: attempt 2

The Autobots investigation into Triple Changers never really went away so much as the funding for it was redirected (Aerialbot Program). Still, that didn't deter the remaining researchers from snatching up the battered cyber ninja as their next experiment volunteer.

Springer's operation went pretty smoothly and is widely considered successful, it's just the recovery that's being a problem.

The doctors in charge of the program refuse to acknowledge the psychological effects of the operation. They just keep telling him his disorientation is just in his head, and that he just needs focus on getting used to his new frame.

Meditation helps, sort of. Training's better and helps blow off some steam but that makes the doctors nervous and break out the sedatives/EMP guns, and waking up from that is so much worse.

After an altercation with Pharma during an examination, Springer is put in induced-stasis for another attempt at reprogramming at a later date. He currently resides in the same facility Arcee is/was being kept.

Did Springer agree to this? Technically yes, but he was also freshly torn in two when he signed the documents giving them his consent so...

- humans pick up your speech patterns after you spend enough time together, it's subconscious and they're often surprised when you point it out

- many humans sleep better if given a soft toy to hold while in their nests. makes you wanna give them a sparkling to cuddle instead of the plushie.

- chubby humans have the most divine texture in the universe, it's so addicting to hold and squeeze them!

- slender humans are good too, when you frag them it's easy to see the abdominal bulge and any biolights flashing inside them. but it's so fun to feed them extra treats and watch their frames slowly morph from skinny to plump (feeding kink turns out to be incredibly common among cybertronians. human diet culture horrifies them)

- humans with dark eyes are extra cute cuz it looks like they have big dilated optics

- they look so helpless but tbh humans can BITE, they have surprisingly powerful jaws and tough dentae. of course they can't seriously hurt a bot, they can still leave a dent in your plating though, so if you like it kinda rough your tiny spouse can indulge you

rodimus, springer, and optimus form a little clique of wifeguys (optimus is surprised to make friends over this of all things) and when sentinel calls them degenerates for talking about the irresistible charms of humans, springer decks him with an uppercut to that big stupid chin. uppity mechs sometimes need to be reminded that nobody mouths off to a wrecker.

dying at bots thinking a sparkling will just cuddle nicely. These things can be VICIOUS when they want to be (and ruthlessly bully every adult bot through their small EM fields)

Their mesh is especially affected by human biting (pls do not bite metal, that will fuck up your teeth) - so they better watch out when their mate is giving them head. They can tear into a valve/spike like no tomorrow, straight up rabid wolf behavior

Which goes back to my original thought process is Springer’s Prowl dad in this continuity or do we think that he was a deadbeat like idw prowl was or is it the case where he doesn’t know prowls his?

Turns out Prowl actually lost Springer when he was a bittie, it was during an attack on a city and during the chaos they got separated. Of course Prowl spent weeks searching for his sparking only giving up when he was forced to flee to avoid being drafted in the war, he wanted no part in.

Eventually they would reunited when a small team of Autobots called The Wreckers visited Earth. Springer was being shown around the base by Bumblebee only to stop dead in his tracks when he spots Prowl. For a long awkward moment the two just stare at each other, until the large green mech darts forwards giving Prowl a bear hug while Prowl softly chuckled just happy that his sparkling is alive and well. Of course everyone gets caught up to date while also being surprised that these two are even related considering Springer is almost as big as a Decepticon and is three times the size of his carrier.

Meanwhile Bumblebee just gawks for a moment before turning to Prowl and saying. "Sooo, since we're courting each other and are planning on bonding. Does this make me Springer's step-sire? Because I always wanted sparklings!"

Prowl had springer with Tarantulas which is why he’s so big but the others don’t need to know that. Prowl told springer when he was a bitty who his sire is and why its best kept a secret and bee figured it out on his own.
