Miss. Pauling had a busy schedule.  She had to fly around the world and talk to a slew of supposedly professional mercenaries (if there truly was such a thing) an assemble a set of nine specified 'classes' and bring them to Teufort in the Badlands for a final test of their skills.  The Administrator had said to bring as many mercs over as she deemed necissary and given her fifty plane tickets to be sure there would be a variety of options.  So, with the thought of the pay raise she was offered, Miss. Pauling strode confidently down an unkempt street in a remote American city.

Miss. Pauling had heard about the man she was to meet first from a group of World War Two veterans she sometimes met up with on the weekends.  They told stories of a crazed want to be solider who had been rejected from every branch of the military.  Curious, Miss. Pauling had tracked down the location of the man, but had not had time to visit him until now.

Slightly excited, Miss. Pauling accelerated her pace until she arrived at a condo building that was practically in shambles.

Tentatively, Miss. Pauling knocked on the door of the building, "Mr. Doe!" She called, "Hello?  This is Miss. Pauling, I'm here to interview you for a job opening!"

Just as Miss. Pauling decided to turn her back to the door, a ragged man wearing only a helmet and briefs sprang from a box and nearly tackled her.

"I heard you're looking for a Mr. Doe," He said.

Miss. Pauling straightened her crooked glasses, "Yes, I am. Could you direct me to him?"

The man jabbed a thumb into his chest, "Then look no further mam! For i am Sargent Jane Doe, expert solider and Nazi killer."

He wasn't the decorated war hero she'd been expecting, but at the same time, Miss. Pauling liked the change, "Oh, well, I'm here regarding a job opening for a mercenary." Why am I so casual about this? She thought as soon as she said mercenary job opening.

"Mercenary? So, I would get paid to kill my enemies?"

"Basically...."

"Good!" Mr. Doe yelled, "When do I start?"

Miss. Pauling held out a plane ticket, "Well, there's still a competition you have to win..."

Mr. Doe snatched the ticket form Miss. Pauling's hand, "Also goo! I will dominate whatever sorry saps find themselves crossed with this American!"
