Solar opposites is a show where aliens adjust to earth life & personally I like things that stay close to canon, so the thought of them being humans, more specifically poc immigrants, moving to America & adjusting to their lives there, dealing with xenophobia (bc let’s face it the way the entire neighborhood not liking Terry & Korvo’s “sci fi bullshit” & Jesse & Yumyulack getting in trouble at school several times (even though Jesse doesn’t really do all the troublesome things Yumyulack does) is some type of degree of xenophobia) (+ maybe even queerphobia if you wanna include Terry & Korvos relationship + Jesse’s gender stuff) makes more sense than Americans being like oh no two white males are in our neighborhood & doing sciencey stuff with their kids. & obviously I’m not saying it’s my way, my way or the highway, cause people can do whatever tf they want & they can ignore my rant/explanation above, I wouldn’t care but I don’t want them thinking I wanna police the way they fucking think.
