He fumbled it massively but we must give the man his flowers. The idea of having Sakura be an outwardly upopinionated shallow and unmotivated girly girl while having the polarizing intricacies of her personality manifested as an “inner self” who we can see when we peek into her thoughts, and then having her grow and merge that inner self with her outer self as she gets older and becomes more confident in herself once she finds a passion and someone who believes in her…….. well that’s fucking sick
