But it’s the same way I felt about Max on Bones... he was a terrible person for leaving his kids (even if it was a “good reason”) and I enjoyed watching Brennan react and play off that, but I had a hard time warming to him on top of that because Ryan O’Neal has such a history of being an asshole too.

But yes the resemblance between RW and MW is uncanny and that was like casting from the gods lmao. (Then again the kids who play Tali are kind of dead ringers for CdP so the casting director on this show may be a genius lol)

Yeah exactly. It’s so hard go weed out and likely the sensationalism of it has grown in the intervening years because replaying the story over and over again turns it into this legendary status. I’d read about the speculation that CW and NW (lol just realized they all had W names) were having an affair and RW got angry about it which is why NW ultimately tried to leave, but the other story would definitely have been swept under the rug at the time if it had any traction. I hope for all their Sakes that it was a terrible accident and that the survivors learned their lessons and learned to appreciate their loved ones and stop being jerks but I’d be skeptical. My default assumption is everyone in Hollywood is an asshole and most of the time that is proven right.

I haaaated Max and it frustrated me to no end that she forgave him (Oops! All Projection), like...you can just not forgive people and live your life.  That is also an option.

The twins were (and still are) such a good casting for Tali.

I hope it was an accident, but whether it’s because the reporting has been spotty or because it’s actually the reality, stuff just doesn’t add up to me.  I don’t think it’s something that anyone outside of (possibly) RW and CW will ever know what happened.
