Woah this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything on tumblr with the welsh language, I’m a native speaker so I’m surprised I thought the language was dying!
I think it is, whilst I was in Wales it was mostly the older generatwho conversed in it, but my great aunt always tried to teach me words and phrases when I was growing up. Teulu was a word that stuck with me for years and when I wrote the fic after her death, I knew I couldn’t name it anything else. (I also have vivid memories of her yelling cariad at me and frightening the other kids in my class till I laughed lmao)

Hi I just read Teulu and honestly I am crying so hard the reason you wrote it really resonated with me because I lost my grandfather almost a month ago now and it's been hard and devastating and reading Teulu reminded me of how much I miss him but also how wonderful the family I've found has been in helping me move forward from it anyways Teulu was beautiful and I loved it and uhhhhh that was brilliant thank you <3
It’s tough losing someone we love so much, and i wrote Teulu it was a couple of days after we’d found she passed and my head was a mess and I couldn’t quite pull myself together. So I wrote it mostly as self-indulgent because I wanted the comfort. I wasn’t too sure I was gonna post it, because this get a lot more personal for me and I was basically just seeing the worst of it being posted and I really need to stop doing that. But the response I’ve had to it has just made my heart soar and I’m so glad that you loved it. Thank you sweetheart 💜
